Bought this for my wife as she has trouble with fine print and often with the print sizes of some books. I looked at many devices for reading, but could not find any that did not have to be held up off the page to work, a rather tiring practice if reading for any length of time. But this magnifier bar lays right on the page, and this makes it hugely convenient and effortless to use. The magnification rate is listed at 2X, but it appears more like 3X in actuality. Whatever the rate, my wife loves it and enjoys reading much more now. This is a quality device, and a great value for the price. I highly recommend it.

Well made, the magnifier is clear no bubbles or distortion and the yellow bar does make it easier to find your line. It has no measurement markings on it - it's 100% clear, but it facilitates making clean straight lines when used as a straight-edge. It is well polished all around, very smooth. The length makes it easy to use with a book, and it doesn't take up much desk space. I can't say that I "love" it, good grief it's a magnifying bar, but it get 5 stars for being what it's supposed to be and doing it well.

I ordered this product for my partner and I to use in our accounting office. We read bank statements and financials all day and the lines become blurred, plus we aren't getting any younger. We previously used rulers and magnifying glass for small print, but thought there had to be something easier. We found it in this product. 2x Magnification and yellow highlight line make it easy to read and helps to keep your place as you continue to enter in to accounting software. I would recommend this product to anyone that does financials and bank statements. And because of its size, 6 inches, it is also is great for reading. It appears that this will last a lifetime...

I had my doubts about this since I know that 2x magnification isn't a lot. But, I also knew that more than 2x causes distortion, and the reviews of other bars with higher magnification revealed that it was an issue. Alas, I was not disappointed and am very pleased.This is perfect for any sized book. Small enough to use on a 6" book, but can be used on large ones as well. You'll have to move it sideways across the page in books larger than 10", but it slides effortlessly. The magnification is perfect and clear with no wiggling and jiggling the bar around (like the old thermometers you had to hold at just the right angle to read the numbers). The size enables you to sit in a chair and read with the book leaning forward because it's easy to hold the bar on the page. The best reading, though, is with the book on a flat surface, untouched, meaning you have to be sitting or standing high enough above the book to look down on it. Since we purchased this for reading small print in large theological books, it's perfect. Works great for other books with small print, too.Planning on getting the longer one for the big books and blueprints so there's no fighting over this one. Great purchase!

Use this as I crochet and it helps me find my place as I crochet row to row. Now I have less mistakes as I find my place so easily.

I am disappointed. The magnifier bar does not make the print appear as large as I was expecting.

This was prescribed by therapists after my husbands accident; it allows him to read and feel a little more normal.

Works very well! It’s a bit wider than a page of a paperback book, but it helps me read faster and remember what I read. I have a learning disability in regards to reading, so this item has helped me already a great deal. The yellow bar in the middle helps me keep my place in the paragraph, and page and the magnification makes it much easier to see. I like that you rest it against the page for the magnification instead of needing to hold it above the page.

Got one of these on a lark and was very pleased I did, made it easier marking up plans for around the house projects

Die Lupe ansich ist gut und das Gelb finde ich besser als die dünne Unterstrichlinie die die meisten Lineale haben. Leider ist der Kunststoff meiner Lupe auf der Unterseite sehr zerkratzt, ob durch den Transport oder Fabrik kann ich nicht sagen. Es stört nicht all zu sehr beim Lesen, jedoch würde ich bei dem Preis von 25€ eine unzerkratzte Lupe erwarten.
