Fujitsu24 Cleaning Wipe - for Scanner - 1

They do the job. There are cheaper products out there, but I don't know if those less expensive products cold cause problems. My scanner is a vital piece of equipment and I can't afford to take a chance. Fujitsu makes a spray that you can spray on the wipes if they dry out before you use them.

After putting up with streak lines on my scan copies for probably 2 years or more, I finally turned my attention to the problem and purchased these wipes. Cleaned the scanner as prescribed on the Scan Snap web site, allowed to dry , and used the scanner. Results? The lines disappeared completely, with a "works like new" look on the copy. Procrastinated for years. Fixed in maybe five minutes of cleaning.One note of precaution. The instructions that come with these wipes warn against getting the solution from the wipe on your hands, face, or even clothes. Make sure you wash your hands with soap after cleaning with these wipes. ( I used rubber gloves ). Don't be like me, I thought the streaks were permanent. I was wrong. Tired of the streaks? You know what to do...

These do a great job of cleaning my Scansnap. I need my scanner to be very clean for scanning photos, and I've tried household cleaning products, but these wipes do a much better job. I wish the wipes weren't so pricey. I justify the price by using one wipe to clean all three scanners/copiers in our house!

When our ScanSnap iX500 stopped pulling the sheets of paper through, we almost gave up on it and threw it out. Our ScanSnap was not quite 5 years old. We gave these wipes a try and wow! The ScanSnap grabs the sheets of paper and pulls them through again. It was easy to open up the two compartments for the rubber wheels to pull them out and wipe the wheels down. Also used the wipes to clean the glass scanning strips found on both sides of the paper path. Finished by wiping down everything else within the internal paper path. The scanner works like new again. We bought the replacement rollers, but have not needed to use them. Only had to use one package of the wipes. This 24-pack box should keep our scanner working for years to come.

I was expecting something more innovative?? These were like a slightly more cloth-like version of notebook screen cleaning wipes. I hadn't cleaned my Fujitsu scanner in 3+ years. I live near the beach and dust/rust can be a problem. I was looking something up in the user's manual and saw the section about cleaning, so I thought, may be I'd be proactive and order these. I followed the cleaning instruction and I guess my scanner wasn't very dirty as there wasn't much on the cloth. Seems pricey for what I got especially since I likely won't use another one for a very long time. I don't know if there's something necessary in the cleaning fluid for the scanner to advise anyone on a less expensive solution. There is very little english content on the packaging, so I'm not sure what the chemicals used are.

This worked the very first time with one cleaning! Came quickly and worked just like promised and as I had hoped!

I started seeing lines on the scans running up the PDF; I tried cleaning the glass with Windex and a micro towel which removed some of the streaks but still not completely clear. Finally, after thinking how much I like the ix500 Snap Scan output originally, I decided to spend the money to purchase what I thought to be overpriced wipes. I was blown away by how well they worked. I only used one pad, so I guess I will put the others away for a couple of years till I start to see lines again. When I consider the great job they did, and I am no longer put off by the price. They were truly worth the investment
