It's like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole – or in this case, trying to fit yourself into a body shaper designed by an evil genius who clearly had a vendetta against zippers.Now, I have to admit that once I successfully made it past the entry challenge, this shapewear did work some magic. It was like my lumps and bumps had gone on vacation without me, and my silhouette was looking as smooth as a freshly Zamboni-ed ice rink. It's like the shapewear was whispering sweet nothings to my curves, saying, "Don't worry, darling, we've got this."But getting to that point was a Herculean task. It was like trying to put on skinny jeans after a Thanksgiving feast – only this time, you didn't have the excuse of overindulging in mashed potatoes. I felt like I needed a team of assistants, a lubrication specialist, and a pair of pliers to get into this thing.The breast area, though, was a different story. It fit like Cinderella's glass slipper, and I couldn't help but wonder if the body shaper was trying to make up for the torture it put me through below. I mean, my boobs have never felt so snug and supported in my entire life. It was like having my own personal breast butler.So, in conclusion, if you're willing to wage a war with your own clothing to achieve the perfect silhouette, the Bali Women's Lace 'N Smooth Shapewear Body Shaper might just be your knight in shining armor. Just be prepared to break a sweat, call for backup, and maybe even utter a few choice words as you wriggle your way into it. But hey, beauty is pain, right?

This was pretty good. I ordered a 34 C, but a 36 B may have been better. Both sizes have the same cup volume, but a little extra room in the rib cage would be nice — but overall it fits very well. I think it gives medium hold and does a good job smoothing out the area where my bra band usually creates a roll in the back. The lace is very pretty and this is not a granny shaper — it’s even a little sexy. However, don’t expect to get your groove on with it, because it is also awkward to remove. The cups have an underwire, and you will not need a separate bra (the “lightly lined” cups is just a sheer mesh layer under the lace, though). The lace on the entire garment is less stretchy because it is designed to hold you in. It’s not stiff, but there is not a whole lot of give. I’m 5’4” and 143 lbs. I am slightly long waisted, so I put the hooks at the longest position. Someone with a heftier weight might not like this garment. I’m keeping this to wear when I want a little smoothing and will look around for some other options, too. A solid B to B- overall.UPDATE: I wore this all day long, under a blouse and jeans. It was extremely comfortable and unlike other shapers, I barely noticed I had it on. The blouse is semisheer in the back and there was no problem. It did not ride up my bottom and looked fine in the jeans. I felt it kept me all tucked in and the dreaded bra fat line was contained nicely. Moving up my grading scale from three stars to four, and from a B/B- to a B/B+.

This is mostly a disappointment for me. Not a complete fail, but I would not buy another. My main complaint is the cups. With no shaping whatsoever to them, just soft, flimsy lace, they just don't fit right. They look puckered and unflattering, and I really can't wear this under anything form fitting at all due to that. I wear a 34DD bra, so that is what I ordered. I'm not a young woman, so I don't have "perky" breasts. Maybe if you are, and you still have full, lifted breasts, this isn't going to be a problem, but for those of us who have lost the lift and volume due to age or childbirth, we need a bit of shaping. It also is quite sheer. I definitely will not be able to wear this under anything white or light colored, or sheer. As far as shaping goes, I think it is fairly good. Not as much in the stomach area as I hoped for, but it does a pretty good job in the waist, upper abdomen and back. It's not uncomfortable. I am thin and petite (5'2, 108-110 lbs) and it fits me. I think if you are a 34DD and heavy, you might have a problem. I think you could be a decent number of pounds heavier, but if you are quite full figured, I think this would be very tight. It's not tight on me by any means, but I don't put it on and think "wow, this thing is huge!", either. All in all, I would not purchase another one because of the cups and the sheerness. I am glad it was relatively inexpensive for a full-body shaper. (I would return it if it was the kind of thing you could return.)
