UHMD Hand-Held Security Metal Detector (Black)

didn't know what to expect when i bought this because of the low cost... but after a year of using this metal detector, i have nothing but praise for this product. anything with any form of metal in it will be picked up even a stick of gum in your pocket will cause alarm!!! overall, i am very pleased with this product and i recommend this product!!!!!

We were having our oil tank removed and I needed to mark out the sprinkler system. Usually I'd do that by running it and locating the gurgling, but I needed to keep the system dry to ease repair after the tank exhumation. Even though most of the heads are plastic, with the sensitivity cranked up on the metal detector I was able to easily find the metal springs within the bodies of the sprinkler heads.Did the trick with exactly what I needed it for.

Purchased this as I had some pool anchors that were buried in the mulch bed around the back pool periphery that I could not find. I was able to locate and pinpoint them within a minute after approximating the general location they would be. Also is handy in locating studs in the wall as once I locate a screw used to secure it to the stud, I would scan vertically down to find another one to confirm it was not a false reading. This was helpful in locating where the studs were to hang things on the wall.Excellent well made product in a solid casing and fits nicely in your hand.

Works great. Use this in my woodshop to detect metals in reclaimed lumber. Wish I had it sooner...I might not have trashed trashed a perfectly good set of jointer knives.

This hand held detector was AWFUL! We put batteries into the detector immediately after we received it, turned it on and it instantly started smoking! We were trying to exchange it and because of our busy schedules and a 30 day return policy we are stuck with a detector that doesn't work. Really disappointed!!!

Tested it on known embedded metal and it accurately indicated. The low battery indicator is functional. The vibe setting is very responsive.

I purchased this to detect nails in some reclaimed lumber and it has worked flawlessly: spotting points where nails or tacks were embedded below the surface and not visible. Battery life has also been fine. I realize that my case may be somewhat out of the ordinary, but in terms of function, this is a great little tool!

Wand works great. Beeps when there is metal. Just like it should. "Is that your belt, sir, or are you just happy to see me?"
