Excellent Resource for Those New to Bluegrass
This book has so much good info - from strumming patterns to soloing in different keys. Highly recommended for students or teachers interested in bluegrass techniques.

Exactly what I was looking for
Easy to to use and comprehensive. It has tab and notation and is good for all skill levels. My one complaint is that the tracks that are "songs" on the cd are accompanied by other instruments. I can understand that they are trying to teach you to pick out guitar parts from songs but I wish that for at least the tracks in the beginning of the book the guitar was alone to make the parts easier to learn.

Good introduction, fun techniques
This is a fun book for me. Easy to follow, fun techniques. Only negative is it seems a bit redundant. Bits and pieces of different songs in different keys, but few full songs.

Great book, buy it! Just tweak the tabs as you go.
This book has great content and the FREE practice website is fantastic. It can teach you lots of great licks and ideas. They put a lot of effort into it, for sure. I wish I had bought it sooner, I worked out all the Flatt runs on my own years ago and drilled them. Didn’t know I could’ve bought a book for it!I use the practice website at 100% once to listen to solos, then 75% first time to play the solos (badly, once). Then work up from 50% to 110%. Do this for a couple days and you will knock it out of the park.My one complaint: some tabs aren’t accurate to the MP3’s, or sometimes the finger placement has to be wrong. Fluidity is often key to play this style, and finger placement is important. I find myself fixing about 5-10% of the notes in a solo to either match the recording or make them play more effortlessly. I wish their session guitarist had revised these tabs, but it doesn’t devalue the book. Just frustrating at times. So for beginners, when you get to the solo section, be sure to rework the bad spots on the tab to get the sound right. Usually just moving the note up or down a string, adding a note, etc is all you have to do.Overall, fantastic value. I learned a lot of this style on my own, and it was very validating to see it all laid out so well.

Ottimo metodo didattico
