Can I use this on a wall made of drywall?

NO. Do NOT use on drywall. It will break through eventually, possibly with the first use. Concrete would be the best bet. Wood board walls might work, but I suspect they would be marred. I regret buying this product.

How tall can the trim be on the hook side?

I measure it, it's closer to 4" max from door jam opening to the top of the door trim molding on the back.

What is the length of the support bar (the bar the touches the door)?

The bar length is 39 1/2 inches.

Has anyone hung a heavy bag on it and does it fall when the bag is swinging hit by force?

I have not hung a heavy bag on it - I am 170# and it has no problems with the weight. However, I don't think it is 'secure' enough to have opposing forces on it. The load of a bag would help "stablize' the bar against the door jams.... the other issue would be a strong "link' to have the bank hang from. Not the answer you were looking for ... but this bar was not designed for that purpose. Use at your own risk in my opinion.
