We needed an easy, attractive solution to our indoor stair railing issue. Most post bases are either flange-less (no skirting at the bottom) or all four sides have the flange/skirting. Because of where we needed to set the posts, we needed some skirting but not on all four sides. Tada!! These post bases are ideal for our setup - the size is perfect, our posts fit really well once we screwed everything in, the thick metal is extremely durable, and they are quite attractive. They installed easily and are very sturdy. Highly recommend for deck or stairway installation, indoors or outside.

Great base units for railing posts. I really appreciated how solid they were, and how well they fit with a standard 4 x 4 post. I suggest using a good bolt to mount them as the sleeve, and inevitably the post, are going to be stronger than the mounting screws, so make sure they are strong!

Bracket is a quality product, The anchors not so great and do not work very well. I ended up not using them and purchased regular 3/8 concrete anchors. The post screws are fine however there is not enough of them for all the holes. so I ended purchasing some that are close to matching from hardware store. (Note that hardware with this product is metric) I don't use or have or desire metric concrete drill bits. Again bracket looks good and works well. skip the anchors and buy your own. Otherwise they worked great

These appear just slightly lighter duty than Simpson Strongtie. But at 30% the per unit cost, you can't go wrong. They're strong and well manufactured. They worked great for my application.

Im got these to use a little differently than designed. I made my grand kids a outdoor balance beam. The post base was well made with no sharp edges and the powder coating should hold up for yers.

These are just what you think they are. The steel is sturdy and thick enough to know it will last. I did not use the included bolts but they looked decent. I got some better quality concrete screws/bolts and borrowed a friends hammer drill and it was a very easy process to install. Now my mailbox is standing straight and proud again.

I used this item to hold a 4x4 post, which I was able to attach it to my wooden deck with the four screw holes . Very strong and sturdy. The 4x4 posts had 2 bird houses - the birds are happy.
