Firman 1003 Wheel Kit

Not sold as a universal kit, but worked great on my older Coleman generator. I attached rear axles/wheels by simply drilling 5/16 holes thru frame. I had to shim down the front legs, to keep unit fairly level. I also used spacers between handle-bracket and top frame tube. Fairly simple adaptation for persons with basic mechanical skills. Price was more than the Harbor Freight kit, but this was a more straightforward install for the handle.

Nice sturdy hard-rubber/plastic wheels that don't wobble and fit the Firman generator like a glove. I love it when a manufacturer's accessories are of the same high caliber as the main product. Handle is sturdy and feels reliably strong. A great fit on the generator, snug and sturdy!Makes moving the generator a non-issue - especially on the ARMS and BACK!!

It was cheaper to buy the generator I wanted w/out wheels and add this wheel kit. The kit was easy to install and it works great. Unless you like lifting heavy bulky objects.. get the wheel kit (if it fits your generator).

Bought this for my (then) newly purchased Firman generator. As I get older, I appreciate anything that makes heavy work more acceptable. This wheel kit was an easy install and is very sturdy. Once a month, I use it to roll the generator to the back yard and run it for 1/2 hour, as is recommended. Makes that task much easier. I wouldn't be without a wheel kit for a 100lb. + generator.
