Evoluent Vertical Mouse D Medium (VMDM) - Ergonomic Wired Mouse for Laptop and PC with Jestik Microfiber Cloth

I have average man hands. Its the only mouse I use. Great grip, and feels comfortable. Forever a customer.

I had heard of and about the Evoluent vertical mouse in online reviews, so I thought I'd give it a try when the mouse wheel broke on my old vertical mouse. At first I was unable to get the mouse pointer to move at all, so I contacted support, thinking I had a defective unit. While support didn't explain it well, it turns out that the mouse will not work on a black or dark surface, like the majority of mouse pads. If I had known that before, I'd have never ordered it. So now I'm stuck using a mouse with a white sheet of paper on top of my mouse pad, it doesn't track very well like this. The mouse does have a nice feel and weight. The thumb buttons are a bit too easy to press accidentally. It would be close to the perfect mouse if it would work on standard mouse pads, they need to put a notice in the product description that it won't, so potential buyers will know about it.

I have been using an evoluent mouse for almost 10 years and it has solved my carpal tunnel issue once and for all. I was very pleased with the slightly slimmer, better contoured body and the upgraded, sleek surface. The older model had a coating that became sticky and peeled off in places over time. I am hoping this will last me longer than the older model and stay in better shape for the price point. In my opinion this is the best ergonomic mouse out there. Highly recommend!

The mouse keys have started to stick after less than 6 months of light use. There has been no damage to the mouse. This makes it hard to use the mouse.

I bought this after a trackball starting giving me problems with my hand. I had been using the Logitech Marble Mouse for years and it worked great. Not sure what happened, I guess old age and wearing out ligaments, but using the trackball started causing pain. After switching to this mouse, my hand and wrist problems are gone. This works great. I'm back to having a mousepad on my desk, but it's not a big deal. The only issue is I sometimes accidentally hit the top left button, which is programmed to go back a page.

It works as expected. I gave it a 4 because the selections makes a loud enough click noise, it’s old school sound. I use the same mouse, same company at work and the selection noise is barely audible. But it does work, just a bit annoy8ng.
