Swagtron SwagBoard NG-1 NextGen Electric Boosted Longboard Replacement Wireless Remote Control ONLY

Cheapest remote ever. It feels so dinky. The board is awesome, but useless since the remote lasted 2 weeks. My son had to strong arm the charger in, which pushed the connector into the remote. The other review I just read said the exact same thing. ARGH!

Disappointing Christmas morning. To be clear: the actual electric skateboard appears to be well made and sturdy. It's the quality we expected and received. The remote control is a completely different story. It is the cheapest, flimsiest remote I have ever seen or held, no joking. The biggest problem is at the bottom end of the unit where you need to plug the cable in to charge it. Because it is so cheaply made the charger does not slide in easily and you have to push it. The first time our daughter tried to charge it she pushed the cable in and the whole receptacle side just pushed totally into the remote. We unscrewed the casing and we could see that the receptacle part completely separated from the circuit board. My husband dutifully soldered it back together. We then plugged it together with kid gloves. Foreseeing this will be a problem, we decided to order 2 replacement remotes. They arrived fine. This time my husband plugged both remotes in to charge, knowing he would be more careful than any teenager. At least that's what he thought. Right out the box, on the first attempt to plug the cable in, same thing happened. It breaks. Without the remote, the skateboard is rendered useless. Swagboard majorly missed on this remote. Very very disappointed and if I could I would give it zero stars. We've had Dollar Store remote control cars that had remotes that lasted longer. Honestly, I feel Swagboard needs to replace the remotes free of charge to all of its customers. It simply is so cheaply and poorly made that the whole skateboard is worthless. We have a total of 4 remotes since just before Christmas and only 2 work......for now. Only because the streets and driveway are covered in snow.

This controller connects very easily to the swagboard, almost instantly. Nothing more needed to be done other than just turning it on and making sure it's charged ahead of time.. The wrist strap on the very top of the remote is super helpful since I easily lose things.

Very simple remote to use, just push the throttle up to activate the motorized wheel. Not much more to it.. Charges with a standard micro-USB cable that we already had for our Android phones. USB charger is not included with the remote!

The NG-1 Remote is great! I really like how it fits in my hand. My favorite part is the strap that I can loop around my wrist so I don't have to worry about dropping and breaking it while I ride!
