I think it is. It's a fairly substantial lock, that would deter many a thief looking for a quick steal or at least slow them down. This is quite heavy but not so heavy you cant carry it easily. I was pleased with it.

Q: I am confused, when I click on the short picture it shows a long one and when I click on the long picture it shows a short one, which is which please?

H, mine was described as long but wanted the short one ( which the picture showed) When it arrived it was short which was fine. I think the “long” may be referring to the cable which has been great for securing both my carbon wheels incidentally. Don’t forget if it turns up and it’s not as described you can return it free of charge under Amazon’s returns policy. Regards Pete
