works okay as an instructional toy, but rotation is not very long lived, But if you want to teach someone about angular momentum, it works well on an elementary level, but due to frictional forces neither direction nor magnitude are conserved for very long. That said, it is attractive & solid.

Good quality. The grandkids enjoyed watching the gyroscope defy gravity. On the downside - it was hard to thread the string through the hole in order to wrap the pull-string to spin the scope. Young grandkids were interested but definitely requires an adult to thread the gyroscope and pull the string with enough force to make it spin.

Getting to know how to use it is easy and fun so no complaints here.

I bought two. Neither are in balance, and will not work as a gyroscope. Waited too long to return. Piece of expensive junk.

I ordered this top from a link given to me by a friend who had ordered one and demonstrated it to me. But when mine arrived, it was 'slightly different'... It had the good bearings and long spin - but the stand had a simple modification which no longer permitted the top to operate 'horizontally' when supported on one of its axes. As I recall, the stand supplied with my friend's top was more stable and was higher. I am pleased with the performance of the top itself. This high quality top is a far cry from the 'toys' I had as a child. Thanks for providing this. -- John.

We’ll made little gyro but had no shipping protection at all and must have been placed at the bottom of the UPS load because it has been crushed. One of the outer rings is no longer round. Very disappointed
