I needed this cable to hook up from my VHS player to a digital media recorder. It worked perfectly.

I use a Raspberry Pi 4 for a retro media center running a 480i signal to a 32" CRT using Kodi and have done so for several years now. The other day I was frustrated at noise over the cable I had been using for composite out so I looked to Amazon and found this amazing cable. First off: It's wired correctly for a Raspberry Pi, video and audio left and right are all linked to the correct leads on the 3.5mm connection. This is actually pretty rare, most cables aren't wired for the Pi, and I think that's why so many other reviews are complaining about odd output. I'm not sure what other devices use this wiring but if you're looking for something wired the same as a Pi composite out then this is your cable. The picture looks great, no noise at all and the thick braided cable seems very likely to be shielded as well. I actually use a usb soundcard for audio (Pi's audio over composite is notoriously bad, that said there are settings you can adjust to make it better at the cost of a little more ram usage), but I'd wager the audio outs work just as well. In my opinion this is the ultimate cable when it comes to Raspberry Pi composite out and if that's what you're looking for you won't regret buying this while it's available.

El producto es bueno, pero infortunadamente intenté devolverlo debido a que no funcionaba. Sin embargo, pude corregir el problema que consiste en que el plug de color amarillo es usualmente para el video, pero este cable conecta el video con el plug blanco que normalmente es para sonido. Esto fue lo que me produjo problemas al conectarlo, pero cuando experimente cambiando la asignacion de los cables, pude solucionar el problema. Por eso no lo devuelvo al vendedor. Gracias

Color coded and simple to use. Literally plug and play ability.

The ground and video are switched! The pinout is incorrect in the product page. The actual pinout is g-v-r-l and the ad says v-g-r-l. Beware!!! It wont work and you may damage your equipment by grounding the video signal.

I can fully confirm that this cable works perfectly fine on CRTs. I thought it didn't work at first but after hunting down info for about an hour I found what you need to do. Make sure you edit your /boot/config.txt file You can easily edit it by plugging the SD card into your Windows PC. Make sure you add the lines: disable_overscan=1 overscan_scale=1 hdmi_ignore_hotplug=1 sdtv_mode=0 sdtv_aspect=1 I'm running RetroPie 4.8 EmulationStation 2.11.2

Bought some Jack's for my van DVD player, and they had great quality with clear sound and picture.

Well I finally got it to work but the color coded cables connectors were not correct 🙃 yellow & red were speakers & white was video. I was ready to return the product but thought I would try it.

Ordered this for my retro console. Worked perfectly fine. Cable feels high quality and easy to work with. Check the length as this waa pretty short, but worked pretty well with my setup.

The cord is really nice, I like it, no complaints, other than its not the cord I had orderd, which was was suposed to have 3.5mm jack on one end.. 😱 I'll even happily keep it, it's one of those ones i need from time to time, however I can't plug this into my dji goggles...
