I have tried a number of these standing desk/adjustable height desks, and as of now, this one is the clear winner. I can nitpick, as I will do, but right now, this one is the best I have tried.Simplicity is what you usually want, and this desk has it in two forms. First, fewer parts. The most important point here is that the surface itself is one piece, no seams. That matters. Second, the assembly process has the fewest potential glitches. That said, assembly did have some glitches, but this thing comes together and works. Consider, for example, the height adjustment buttons. Simply built into the desk surface. Simplicity. That does take up some surface space rather than getting attached to the bottom, but it is a simple piece, and simple is good.And one minor point. The feet allow independent adjustment if you have hardwood floors with dips, or something, that would often prompt you to use levelers. This is a new trend, and I approve.Now, assembly. With few pieces, there are few points of assembly. The drive shaft, for example, is set up to minimize potential glitches with the motor unit. As I said, largely preassembled. However, a few screws were set up in very annoying places, there was already some rust inside a leg when it arrived, and the motor power unit had come loose in shipping, and needed to be reattached. That all meant assembly was more problematic than it needed to be, but all was manageable, and this was far better than several I have seen.All told, you can manage assembling this yourself, one person, in maybe 30 minutes. It is stable. It is about as simple as these things get. Don’t go for a complicated thing with extra doohickeys. Simple works. Yeah, it sounds weird to call it simple when it has electronic height adjustment, but don’t add any more complexity than you need. This, I like.

My headline says it all really - I absolutely love this desk and what's neat is how quiet it is when changing from standing to sitting and vice versa. This is an attractive desk as well - it's not really fancy, but it is attractive and looks good in my home. It would be great for either a workplace or a home office, whichever! I guess if there is one small con is that this desk does not have a consideration for an ergonomic keyboard location. Now, I realize some people just have a laptop and use the laptop keyboard, but I have always had an articulated keyboard drawer under my desks - I even bought them and installed them at my office desks because I have had carpal tunnel syndrome for YEARS due to typing. I HAVE to have a keyboard that is ergonomically located for my hands, arms and shoulders to be comfortable otherwise I have shooting pains after a day of typing. I think I may be able to attach one to this desk, but I'll have to do some measuring before I take my articulated keyboard tray off my old desk and attach it to this one. Might not be a big deal to others, but it is something I need and considering this is an ergonomic standing table, having some sort of ergonomic keyboard tray available even as an extra accessory might be a good idea.
