Best type of rear view mirrors for bikes.
I use these mirrors on my Schwinn MTB where I have some Velo grips that weren't really meant for bar end mirrors. I drilled a hole in the side of the Velos and was able to mount these mirrors to the bar end. My velo grips have horns but with the metal brackets pointed down the horns are still usable and feel fairly comfortable. I do have a small section of the mirror bracket against the edge of my palm but I wear gloves and the bracket isn't a bother. These mirrors provide a great rear view. They don't shake and they don't move while riding. They do give if you hit something. I occasionally will get too close to a bush or telephone pole and the mirror folds in and doesn't break. That's great. The glass is clear. The folding mechanism is smooth. The inserts are great. I even like the packaging that protects the glass.

Low cost, but wiggles around
The ball end folds up at high speeds, so if you hit 60 kph they close from the wind pressure hitting them, this was dangerous on the highway because I had to use one hand to push them open again and adjust while on the highway. If you are casually on back roads or the street they do fine. So, I couldn't get it any tighter to not fold up, that was as far as it would go. I ended up having to return it because they didn't work for my needs.

Absolute Garbage
These are absolute garbage. On one side, it wouldn’t snug to install at all. On the other side, it’s snug and actually can’t be removed… screw comes out but the locking cylinder won’t budge. It’s jammed in my bar with no way to get it out. I’ve owned and worked on at least a dozen bikes- this is not ordering the wrong size or user error. As far as I’m concerned these bums not only owe me a refund but compensation for having to spend 30 minutes tooling the garbage out of my bar end.

Positioning problems
Just not positional enough. The metal expansion sleeves are a pain in the....uh...hand to tighten up. Better installing, i had to grip the nut with pliers to tighten it just enough where it could get crammed into the bar, but from there it actually tightened up in the bar just fine. Well, it was still hard to turn the wrench, but it was tightening up and not just spinning in the bar. That's not a problem, for me. I want a strong grip. Then, we get to the adjustment problem. Here, the "fold in" feature(which was the selling point, for me) seems to be the culprit. It has notches that mean it can only sit fully folded in, halfway in, or totally straight out. It cannot be tightened to an in-between point. There is a ball-socket attaching the mirror stem to the main body, but because of the design of the socket it can't move enough to make any difference.

Would not tighten up to keep from moving
I had to replace some of the hardware to keep them from being so loose.
