These are not a perfect solution, but a valuable tool.
First thing to note, a child can absolutely remove these if they really want to. They are nicely tight on our 3 year old, but with enough persistence they will come off. So before we started using these we talked to her about whether she wanted to stop sucking her thumb. Maybe we caught her on a good day, but she said yes, so we said okay, we have these gloves that you can wear that will help you remember. Putting these on against their will is a recipe for failure I think since it will just cause them to try to take them off. Luckily the pattern looks like a mermaid tail to her, she she liked them. Anyway, we put them on her at the times we know she will be sucking her thumb (like a car ride, or during TV time), and she truly does not suck her thumb with them on. We haven't put them on her at night yet since we aren't there to monitor her keeping them on. In general, I think these are helping slowly to minimize the habit. If nothing else, they are very useful to put on her when we are in public places to prevent touching everything and then immediately putting her thumb right in her mouth.Edit - several months later: We finally tried this as a tool to stop night time thumb sucking (and the associated hair twirling which was causing lots of hair to tangle and pull out). At the start she took it off a few times but we watched on a baby monitor and went in and quietly put it right back on without any reprimanding. After about a day or two she didn't attempt to take it off anymore. After about a week she wears it every night without any argument or any attempts to take it off and the habit finally seems to be weaning! Even during TV time when it was a constant thumb suck, she no longer even tries even without the glove on.

Not good for 4 year old
Not a good product for a 4 year old. He just pulls his thumb out of the thumb part of the glove by pulling on the fabric and goes to town on his thumb. This may work for a two year old who won’t think of pulling his thumb out.

My daughter enjoyed the way they looked and didn't want to remove ...
This is much safer than the silicone thumb stops because it won't strain the wrists. However baby maybe able to remove them. My daughter enjoyed the way they looked and didn't want to remove them which was great! However, it did not break the habbit.

Works but quality is less than desirable
Seems are not strong and come Nadine easily. But overall comfortable and help child think about sucking thumb

poor quality
I love the print! I hate that we have only had it a short time and the seams started busting out.

Not good
My child is almost 3 and I think he was just to old to try these out. He had them off within 5 min. Total waste of money for us, but may work on a more laid back smaller child.

Smart kids 1 - Gloves 0
Worked for a week or so then she figured out how to pull the material to the side and access her thumb. Wish they had entire glove in this material.

Worked for a few weeks
These worked great until my kid figured out how to stretch it enough to pull her thumb out.
