Very good loom for the blind if they have patience and are willing to learn.
I bought this product to try it for weaving. It sounded like it was exactly what I was looking for.I have the Martha Stewart knit and weave loom kit (actually I bought three to get all pegs to fit plus a few extra pieces). But I was looking for something that would allow me to weave shapes. This loom more than meets my expectations.I have read most reviews on this product. And one negative review said they don’t know how this loom could get such good reviews. I on the other hand don’t understand how it can get bad reviews. The pegs fit snugly and securely. You have limitless amounts of ideas to weave from a square to circle to basically anything that you mind can dream up.I use a standard wooden weaving shuttle as that is what I prefer and find it very easy and relaxing to weave.Of course setting up the loom takes time and removing the pegs takes time once done but all in all this loom is great. As stated in the title I am a blind person so yes a person with limited sight can use this. I am totally blind and love it.A lot of the complaints was that this is not a frame loom so you can’t see the back of the weaving. Actually this is the very thing I love about this loom. Having it closed as it is it allows me to not loose my shuttle while I am picking up the threads with my fingers to insert the shuttle.I will say one thing. If you want more control over what your weaving this loom may or may not fit your needs. You do have more flexibility with a frame loom. But it depends on the user of the loom how they like that or not.I have had frame looms, small lap looms such as the cricket and I even have worked on a big floor loom. The Martha Stewart DIY weaver is exactly what I personally needed through the years and I wish I would have found it when it first came out. It would have saved me a lot of money.Remember please that weaving you can use anything to hold the warp. The finished piece depends on your pattern of choice. It really doesn’t matter what loom you use. The end result is always the same.Sure a smaller loom you may have to sew the pieces together however I prefer that to bigger looms. So it really is personal preference.

Made my first wall hanging ever in about 2 hours with this kit!! 👍🏼👍🏼
So, I’m a total beginner at weaving. Being a noob, I was looking for a basic starter set to make wall hangings Pom poms and tassels, etc. Nothing fancy or really big. This kit was just what I needed. What I like about kit: it has everything you need, except for yarn. It’s super easy to use. There are some instructions included, but there are more information and project ideas online at lion brands website and on YouTube. It’s a small kit so projects are a bit limited, but you can purchase $30 extender kits and make larger stuff that way ( which I DID purchase at another retailer for $10 on clearance, which is a much better price for what you get). The starter kit comes with a small 11x11 plastic board, with plastic pegs and a few plastic tools (see photo). The extender kit comes with another 11x11 board, pegs, and plastic attachments to connect them together) The booklet says you have to use lion brand yarns ( cause it’s made by lion brand) but you most certainly do NOT have to exclusively use their brand of yarn. 🙄 Overall, I think this is a good little kit for my project needs. I think $60 for a starter kit and one extender kit is pretty steep for what you’re actually getting. Thankfully, I found extender kit for $10 ( so I bought three and can now make larger projects!) In about 2 hours, I made my very first project with just the starter kit; a small wall hanging. I attached a photo cause I’m pretty proud of myself ( not bad for my first try) 😋

Best weaving loom so many options 😍
I think this is her best loom yet. I got the set and 1 extender kit. I have so maNY knitting looms, weaving looms, etc. Ranging from Vintage, super high end expensive, etc. I am about to buy 2 more extender kits to make it connect into a big square or line them all 4 long ways. It has so many ways to do every type of weaving. You can make little, to big...any shape&size from octagon, square, triangle, hearts, even an owl. You can spread out the pegs by skipping as many holes as you think you need. I seen one that was big and had pegs like this....super expensive on Etsy. So this has had me so excited to buy 2 more boxes extenders. This is nothing like MS previous loom. Which I hated. But that's my 2 cents. And I've been weaving and loom knitting for many years. Pegs do not fall out. Each peg board (square) has 28 peg holes on all 4 sides and vertically and horizontally. ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES!!! Oh and you have long pegs to make so many awesome embellishments. Just thought I'd share from my years of experience. I really hope you givery it a try.

One star off because the instructions were crap and there aren't enough connecting clips
One star off because the instructions were crap and there aren't enough connecting clips. The first is easy to deal with , look up pin loom weaving and bias weaving on you tube, especially hazel rose and Noreen crone Findlay, and books by the wonderful Margaret stump. Yes I know I feel weird without access to the back of the loom. But I also can weave shapes I'd never be able to do on a frame loom. Weave a whole doll side at once. Or a flat bottomed bag where all you have to do is sew up the flaps. So im willing to exchange some inconvenience for versatility. As for not enough clips, well resin clay solves many things.

Not exactly as shown....
I bought this because of the Owl shown. I assumed it would be one of the 3 items shown in the video of the product. The Owl, heart, and square. The manual however does not have any patterns in it. I was VERY disappointed by that. Now I’m having to look online or might have to purchase a book.

Decent loom
Nice loom for my 9 year old. The pegs are not easily removed-which is good so they don't just pop out. But when you actually want to remove them, it's a booger on the fingertips after 30 or so.

Ok not great
Bought for first weaving project thinking i was fancy- quickly realized the ones with the hole in the back are way more convenient and easier to handle project. Also the pins are hard to pull out. Hurts my fingers. Gets the job done, not highly recommended.

Great, easy fun.
This is brilliant I have just woven a coat for my dog on it!It's very good because you can set up any shape you want with the pegs and weave away. So much more easier and relaxing than knitting! The only downside is is that when you fit the boards together, the plugs that hold them are not enough. This is fine if you keep the boards on a table, but if you plan to have it all on your lap you'll will have to devise some sort of backboard for it.

A fine beginner's loom
Can make small weavings of whatever size and shape you desire. I also bought the extender kit so I could make placemats and larger tapestries for hanging -- works, but I have to leave the loom flat on my desk while weaving, the two pieces come apart very easily. Pegs are a tiny bit closer together than other beginner looms which is a bonus in my opinion. I've had no problem with the pegs falling out with this MS loom.
