Magnafilter Allison 1000 2000 2400 Series Transmission Spin on Magnetic Pre Filter

This item is very good, works well with the trans filters. No leaks if you tighten it right.l and first onto the filter itself then on the transmission.Extends the filter down more, which is good if you have a deep pan like myn and turning the filter on is more easier.I would recommend this. Looks good and good magnetic adapter to remove and metal if there is any, better to have precautions then metal on the inside.

great item works perfect

Like the concept but it needs to have access to the magnet to clean it. The magnet not only collects metal but will get covered in a sludge. The point of cleaning it at every filter change is to locate metal in fluid b4 a failure occurs due to contamination. Without the ability to clean and inspect the actual magnet u wont be able to see a failure occuring which at the first sign of metal if properly inspected flushed and cleaned could be the difference between an in expensive fix and a full transmission. Re design so that one side can be seperated to give full access to the magnet, itherwise it is a throw away item that is to costly vs the oem choice of a magnet between filter and transmission that is easily serviceable.
