For about a tenner, this is a good hat. I like this khaki one well enough that I'm ordering another in a different color..The seams seem solid and I have no reason to doubt the label's claim of cotton fabric. Have worn it in some heavy rain & it does a decent job of repelling all but the heaviest downpours; it's water-resistant, not waterproof. Dries pretty quickly.The hat arrived a bit creased because of the way it was packed, but the shipping wrinkles are gone. The brim is floppy, but it will take some shaping. Storing with the brim snapped reverses some of the droopiness. I measured the brim at just over 3 inches -- so the side panel graphic is correct -- the text specifications say that the brim width is 2.5 inches. For me, 3 inches is just right -- good coverage without rubbing against my jacket collar.Update after getting and using the green one: on 2nd hat, same quality & performance as the khaki. No complaints & rate these hats at 4.25 stars. The green is more of a deeper jungle green than the olive drab I was hoping for, but that's okay --wouldn't mind a bit of fading with use.

I've never added a photo to a review but when it comes to apparel I want to see how something looks. I was pleasantly surprised by this hat. I am a nature photographer and I've been looking for a hat to fit my specific needs. I have tried others that fell short. This one was just what I have been looking for. The brim is wide enough to not only provide shade but also to stop glare from entering the eyepiece of my camera. The brim also has the perfect amount of stiffness to maintain it's shape but just as important to me is the amount of flexibility (floppiness) to be able to look through the camera's viewfinder with the camera in portrait (vertical) position. Ball caps and hats with stiffer brims have to be pushed back on your head or removed thus eliminating their ability to reduce glare. This hat works perfectly! The material is a nice cotton. I was concerned when ordering that the color would be too light because the example shown on Amazon looks more ivory. I wanted a true khaki color. What I received is a light khaki. I am very pleased with it! This hat may not be the coolest hat out there. The vents in the top are small and some other synthetic fabrics may (or may not) breathe better but this cotton hat works for my needs. I also thought I wouldn't use the strap but moments after this photo was taken a big gust of wind came and tried to steal my new hat. I quickly changed my mind. It's also been convenient for when I want to remove the hat and let it hang behind me. I appreciate anything that frees up my hands or space in camera bag. Then there is the matter of value. This hat is absolutely worth the money! I highly recommend this hat!

This hat is a nice hat for the money. Not Mil-Spec, but has side air vents, and snap side brims. Fits my size 7 3/8 very well. I like that the brim is reinforced with many rows of stitching, which makes for a nice look that doesn't just flop around and lose the shape. The double liner is comfortable and cool. I like it for hiking or everyday wear. Can't go wrong for the price. I will probably buy another in a different color.

This is an excellent boonie hat,and brown is nice for a change. Price good.
