Battery live is incredible. Bought this to help trim up my dogs nails. This turkey is one of those dogs where you can't clip their talons. So I bought this to help combat the diva. Anyways, this device is solid! Fits great in your hand. You are not tied to an outlet so very versatile. The power behind it is strong. Wont have any issues with other projects.

I ordered this totally by accident, not realizing it is a battery powered unit. I was going to send it back but then thought it might be handy to have a cordless one. Boy was I right. I LOVE this thing.

This review isn't about the tool itself, because over the years it has been an effective tool.It has sanded, grinded, polished and cut as expected.It has not overheated or failed in powering.For all tense and purposes, it is a reliable product...What the consumer should be aware of is the energy component of this device; being that it runs on energy and stores its own power has a propensity of carrying energy in its wake, as you apply your fixes.I found myself maneuvering through the manutia of bike parts and what should still be the energy component of this Dremel.But who knows what eBay brings to the table?Or what ever else is in the post office and its postal routes.Its a Dremel, not a rehargeable foot massager.So just be aware, you might be facing off with the same demons, again and again, over the use of this device and how it has entered your life.I've had mine for nearing 30 months, or two and a half years and it is an exceptonal product in every way, but I would still consider only the needs of what I use it for in a short term application and not something that stays with me as part of a collection in patents or inventions.The benefit is portability.The buyer should be aware that its difficult to maintain portable energy in an every changing market, and yes, that means your cordless tools are effected too.

I bought this for dog nail maintenance.It's quiet, but powerful enough to grind down nails quickly. I've been using it for a couple months now on two standard poodles and a cavalier. Works well with no complaints. I bought a diamond bit, which was easy to change out and I expect it will last a long time.

Always wanted this product. Bought a cheaper one some years ago. Didn’t work. This is far superior.

I'm giving five stars because it does a good job of being what it is. It is not a plug-in dremel tool: it doesn't have the same horsepower or speed. You might be able to use a cutting wheel with it if you're super patient, but it will bog down where the plug-in tool will chew through hardened steel. However, for what it is, it works very well. My main use for it is with wire brushes or polishing wheels, and there it's very convenient and handy. It's also good for doing precise work on small parts with small milling burrs (on mild metals or plastic) because it's easier to control than the more powerful tool.I have used it to cut off the occasional bolt where I couldn't use a plugin tool, and you have to go slowly. But it's still better than any similarly-priced alternative. There's a right tool for everything, and this is a good one to have.

I do like this dremel for dogs nails, i am a dog groomer and on my 3rd one. the other two do work but for some reason after having them for a couple months they start to get very loud and don’t work as well and the louder noise scares dogs more. it’s great other than the loud noise it develops after a couple months.
