No, they fit standard size pillows.

There is no latex and they have a zipper

Q: Do these have a "crunch" sound and hardness because of the vinyl or are they soft when you put your head down?

No crunch sound or hardness. In fact they have air pockets. I had a hard time because i like to use more than one pillow so they slide off each other. The cover has extra room for the pillow. Not at all tight.
