A good book for general ai and discovering other ai related topics to look into
Overall, I would recommend the book as the book itself is pretty good at giving a general overview of the current state of AI development and what to expect (without some major breakthrough) in the near future. It also provides a list of topics to further your research in, such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and General Robotics. I did find the constant use of embedded links in the text a bit irritating though. The amount used makes sense for a web article but when thrown in a book seems excessive and interrupts the basic reading flow, especially when multiple links are embedded in a row. They don't even need to be removed, as some of the articles genuinely were an interesting read in their own right; just move them to the end of the chapter as a list, or at the bottom of the page as a footnote.

Enlightening
It helped to dispel some of the myths of AI and gave a pretty good impression of what it’s capable of.

pretty good
it's pretty good as an overall theme of how AI works...the ideas behind it. It s detailed enough to get the logic , again, generally. Since this is just a starter book, I would need to get the next level book, to undertand what it takes to create an AI.

Hat meinem Mann sehr gefallen.

I was hoping to get a glimpse of how AI works, with an high level but logical representation of this field with well synthesized examples and illustrations. … but I am not sure about what I got : the structure of the book is quite obtuse, and the content happily mixes high level considerations about many things which ultimately do not gel together. Disappointing

Easy read and comprehensive summary of all things AI - what it is, how it's developed to it's impact on human work and society.
