This artisan necklace features a fantastic vintage Bakelite faux-tortoise shell center piece embellished with sapphire blue-crystal chaton. The Bakelite focal point was once a hair comb. Restyled and reinforced the early plastic design with a hand construed metal wire frame creates this statement pendant. The flowing pendant suspends dramatically from five strands of blue, black, and bronze gemstone and glass beads. The beads featured are black coral, Victorian era black glass beads, 4 millimeters round denim blue lapis lazuli beads, round jet beads, Czechoslovakian bronze glass beads, and Japanese black matte seed beads. The vintage filigree clasp is gold-plated metal. This necklace is 17 inches long.
