Works great, build strong
Works great, build strong. I see this as a nice alternative to the more expensive gopro-brand product. I've used twice already and it's worked great with no signs of loosening during use. I had an issue with one of the screws, and the company quickly replied and had a replacement screw set shipped out the very next day. Very impressed with the level of customer service!

I don't usually post reviews. The build on this is horrible. I sliced my hand trying to "quick release" the plate. Tolerances in manufacturing are very bad. There is nothing "quick" about the release plate. You cannot remove the camera when the plates are on a backpack strap.

Feel the pain
The product would receive a 5 star except for one major problem, the tightening screws. I'm more of the one strap over the arm daypack carrier and the straps are lighter, thinner than a full heavy backpack. The screws are designed for a very, very thick strap, and being on a smaller strap stick out to the point you will feel the pain. An hour into my hike I had to remove the mount due to the issues it was having on my shoulder. I do like the mount and if they provided shorter screws this would be a 5, but as is only a 2 because you will feel the pain. Well built, tight fit for camera, sits well, and I'm sure it would be great if not for the screws.

the build quality *looked* solid and sturdy. Hacked together a mount for a handheld gimbal ...
Had high hopes for this mount when I received it, the build quality *looked* solid and sturdy. Hacked together a mount for a handheld gimbal and carries the weight well, balanced and even on a backpack strap. That's the good. The bad? I wouldn't remove it once it's on, or attempt to mount/remove more than once or twice. The blue screw tops, have a tendency to unscrew themselves off. Had to put a few drops of gorilla grip to keep them in place, and even then, i'm not sure they'll stay long if I have to unmount from my backpack. Other downside, the release for the quick plate doesn't really actually work that great, the plate is wedged pretty tight in there, so a lot of effort to pull it off - if you're looking for use of that plate. It's an inexpensive alternative to the more expensive plates, so if you don't mind not moving it from bag to bag, it'll do just fine.

Works, but screws are way too long, cut into you while wearing a pack with this mounted
UPDATE: Seller contacted me about the screws and offered to send shorter ones, stating they would provide them now with any new purchases. The screws came very quickly (from China) and they are the perfect length now for about anything you'd use it on (BCD, backpack strap, etc.). Seller went above and beyond to correct the original problem, so I raised my rating up.-----------------------The screws are too long and punch into your BCD if you use it for diving, on my backpack, the threads dug into my chest. Figure out how long you need, mounted to your packs straps, and cut off the excess or you'll be sorry.

Great mount!
I was originally looking at the PolarPro version of this GoPro mount. After more searching, I found Lotopop's strap mount with great reviews so I thought I'd give it a try, and I'm glad I did! It costs about $20 less than the PolarPro version and I didn't experience the issues others were having with that product either. Used this mount with my GoPro Hero5 Black.

Screw issue
The screws after toghtening broke off, it happened for both screws. I used gorilla glue to fix the problem but, dissatisfied that I had to fix a new product. Other than that great product really useful if it works.
