Take Along School House Playset

I bought this for my daughter (4) after she started preschool at the local elementary school and I wanted to know more about her day. She spends lots of time role playing with things her teachers and friends say and what they do at school each day. It's fun to "eavesdrop" on her conversations and it allows me to have a better idea of what her school day is like. She seems to enjoy the set and it was much more affordable than the large playmobil school set.

We’re fans of Playmobil’s larger sets, but these pint-sized take-alongs are ideal when a quick travel toy is needed. We have several, and the City Life and Action series are favorites. This school house is as close to real-life as you can get—the teacher sure looks her part, and the three kids come equipped with backpacks, books, pencils and tablets. The well-built bicycle has a front moving wheel and stands securely in the bike rack. The only disappointing piece is the large white pencil that’s supposed to write on the two-sided blackboard…it doesn’t do a very good job. Our four year old anxiously awaits kindergarten; this is a wonderful way for him to pretend what it will be like. Some of his story lines are a bit odd, and he has the kids flying while riding the bike, but that’s the beauty of Playmobil and active imaginations. This particular set doesn’t have as many little pieces as others, but it’s still a good idea to store them all in a baggy after play time is over. That ensures everything is accounted for, and nothing will spill out when the house is reopened. The school house stays securely shut with a bar that snaps into place. Not all take-along sets have exterior carrying handles—this one does, and it’s conveniently built right into the roof. The kids seem to enjoy playing with other Take-along sets more, but this one still gets lots of action, and when combined, all our pint-sized Playmobil sets make a fun little community. These are durable, time-tested toys. Assembly for this particular set is straightforward and easy.

Gave this to my awesome niece as a present. At 7years old she's quite the gamer... Her mom reports that since she received this as B-day present, she been playing with it every free moment...and off the Tech. I call that a win. Aside from that, we love playmobil, so well made, fun and functional. I love the 'pack it' school house, so all pieces stay together.

This a great toy for calmer kids who like roll play. The only downside is that it has many very small parts that I'm sure will lost in no time. But otherwise, my 4-year old loved it!

Boys 5 and almost 3 LOVE these. They are very realistic and have a lot of "real parts". It does take about 20 minutes to set up before they can play. And.. for an anal mom who HATES to lose toys- it is a bit of a nightmare. I have a zip locked baggie for each set and the pieces need to be picked up when we are done playing- but- boy! That's tough. These pieces are so very small and my boys play with them throughout the whole house. The imaginative play these encourage is so sweet to watch! We definitely will be buying more, my boys love them so much and play with them for hours- but we are keeping the parts list. We did have an issue with a few of the pieces breaking/ missing when first opened and Playmobil replaced very quickly and had very good customer service.

If you do play therapy you need certain "iconic" toy sets. This is a school set (hard to believe toy schools still show blackboards, chalk, books etc. just like in 1880) is traditional with multi-ethnic students included and many details. Kids combine it with the camping set. These are well made toys with small pieces, get a tub to keep them in.

The stickers do peel and stick as normal.A previous reviewer didn’t do the proper step correctly. Lots of small parts but over all great product.
