Russian Tales: Traditional Stories of Quests and Enchantments

The illustrations are gorgeous and the stories are very fun. I haven’t read through all the book but they are very family friendly. It is written… in a not stricken English way… so the translation is closer to a Russian way of speaking which, I feel, gives it a more authentic story telling feel to it. Highly recommend.It did take forever to get to me. But I had ordered it with an out of print book so it might have come faster had I not done that.

I adore this book. It is beautifully made with a gold-embossed cover. The stories are beautifully illustrated as well. And the stories! Oh my, these are the best old fairy tales ever. This would make a wonderful gift for anyone.

Comparative literature of fairy/folk tales of Northern Europe.

The media could not be loaded. It was one of the best purchase I've ever had. As an illustrator I always try to find the best book for inspiration and reading. Good choice for fairytale lovers!!! And great illustrations!!!

The hardcover book is high quality with good binding and paper quality. This series has been very enjoyable and I own 5 of them so far with plans to purchase more. Since it is a combination of short stories, it is an easy book to pick up and enjoy for 5 or 10 minutes. Of the 5 that I own, this is my least favorite. The stories are a bit difficult to follow.

I bought this beautiful book for an adult family gift exchange. Everyone fought over it. I wish it was mine.

I would definitely recommend this book, the stories are great and well-written. One of the better books in this series.
