Embrace nerdom
This is my favorite thing. I learned about signal processing and Fourier transforms. Then I learned gnuradio and Python. Then I hooked this up to a Raspberry Pi, and now I can operate every radio-controlled thing in my house. And the neighbors' house. When they get loud, I open their garage doors and turn on their fans full blast. I'm kidding. That's a joke. This is fun.

Can't beat the official product
The HackRF is a little expensive for what it is, especially given that cheap clones go for half the price. But a static range topping out at 6GHz is invaluable for work as a poor-man's spectrum analyzer, and it's hard to beat the community support that's there behind the HackRF (and sorely lacking for a bunch of other "better spec" SDRs at a similar price). Well worth paying the premium to get the guaranteed quality and support the excellent work GSG does in the community.

Great learning tool
This is a nice learning device. I decide with retirement it was time to learn about software defined radios and de-modulating the signals. I followed the lessons on Great Scott Gadgets website. I was up and running in no time.

The most versatile SDR out there for the proce
I haven't had mine for long, so I have not done that much with it. I've captured FM, and done a bit of capturing and replaying simple things like garage door openers and door bells. I've used the hackrf with SDR#, Inspectrum, and rx_tools. I haven't used rtl_tools or gnuradio_companion. I was not able to get the hackrf to work with gqrx, but I am pretty sure that is an issue on my ubuntu VM that I have not yet fixed.

This SDR is the one to get
I have several SDR's including an amateur radio SDR xcvr. I have been having a blast with this device. I like it well enough that I am considering getting it the optional internal rf shield and an off market metal enclosure which is available for the unit.

Best purchase ever for SDR
RX & TX and anything in between. I have two of these and love seeing all I can do. Done a few replay attacks and various others things you would expect with a HackRF One.

A compact and complete SDR module.
I like this SDR module because it can handle HF until UHF. Furthermore, it also enables to be a transmitter.
