It's Okay
I have a 16g nose ring, but recently I had switch to a stud after changing to a new job. Finding a 16g nose stud on the fly was surprisingly very hard, and I needed something that would arrive quickly and looked at least somewhat decent while occupying my face. So I landed on this particular product, mainly because it has the prime delivery option and matched my new work shirt until I can find better options out there.I'm pleasantly surprised though. It does the trick. After a few minutes of working the post, I successfully got it in my nose and screwed the top gem back on. It fit well, maybe a little long, and doesn't look half bad (I did order the 5/16" which is a little longer than the average nose stud because I have a large nose and wanted to play it safe). It's clear that the gem is not an authentic opal, and more so just glittery blue and green on the bottom of a clear blob, but if you're not looking at it too closely it's pretty and reflects light just enough to be noticeable. My complaint is that the head of the stud is a little more rounded than I had hoped, so it does stick out a little further than I had wanted. This wouldn't be so bad if the silver part didn't take up half of the orb, so from some angles it can look a little odd. That could also be because I have it in my nose and not my lip, so that could very well just be a problem for me personally. It would be nicer if it was flatter though. Also, it is important to note that while I'm not sure if it's exactly "surgical steel" as the price is so comparatively low, I have had no issues with the material. I have some allergies to cheap metal that cause itching with cheap jewelry, so the fact that I've had no issues is a good sign, I think. Also, I have had no issues with the ball falling off, which was something I was initially worried about with the transition to a stud like this. I have found that as long as I screw it on tightly and don't mess with it, it stays put, even in my sleep. So while I do plan on switching to better jewelry in the future, I'm happy to say that this actually does the job in the meantime.I ordered the 16G 5/16" Black option of this product.

Pretty but entirely too long.
I got the white opal which in the light looks light pink but irl it is white with pretty specks of blue green and pink, but mainly just white. Super pretty. Which is why I’m super annoyed that it’s so long. Like almost the length of the jewelry they put in right after piercing your lip to let the swelling have room. I got it for my Medusa piercing, I don’t have very big lips but big enough that most jewelry fits just fine. But this thing is just ridiculously long. No one needs this long of jewelry. The ball is the “female” and the post is the “male” so if you have a post that’s the “male” you could probably just switch the post out for one that fits but unfortunately for me, I don’t have any so I have to return it which is super annoying.

Quality Not Acceptable for the Price
I bought two of these to use in my tragus piercings. They're beautiful, just like the picture, but after only a couple months one of the backs came off. The flat backs are a really nice feature (although you'll need someone to help you put them in), but then it's hard to tell if they're staying tight or not, and if one comes loose and falls off it's impossible to find. If I had used this as a labret or Monroe I might have even swallowed it. All that would be annoying, but acceptable, if they didn't cost so much.I'm not a fake profile, nor have I been compensated for any reviews...in fact, the reason I take the time to review purchases when I can is due to the fact that I find other honest reviews helpful and am tired of all the fake reviews that have polluted this site. If you find my review helpful, please take the time to rate it as such, not because I'll get anything out of it but so that others can see true reviews. Thanks and Happy Shopping!

Cute earring overall
I used this for my conch piercing and it does well. I felt like it was a little big/bulky for the jewel part and ended up not leaving it in for very long. It doesn't complement the conch piercing as well as I would have liked. But over all it was not too difficult to put in (took me about 5 mins) and I really liked that since these types of earrings can be difficult at times. Overall, a cute earring and I'll wear it again, just not my favorite for the piercing I was using it for.

So beautiful!
Very beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised when I got it. I thought the opal disc would be flat but it actually has a curve to it. It's very beautiful as a labret piercing. You can tell this one is not made cheap! I have to admit though I got their largest size, the 3/8 and it is still a tad bit snug. But I have thick lips and a little bit of scar tissue on the inside because I pierced through an old labret piercing. But honestly it's not really a big deal. It's not uncomfortable in the least bit. If you have thick lips like me I would recommend probably going ahead and ordering their longer bar option. For reference I ordered the black colored one. Just what I wanted. Thank you guys!

Cute, but maybe the longer size for a medusa piercing?
I ordered the 16G 5/16" White for my medusa/philtrum piercing. It looks nice, and I've received several compliments on it, however, I feel that the "gem" SLIGHTLY too large to use for that specific spot.I think it looks nice from afar, but close up, I personally thought it looked rather cheap. Some other issues I had were that the 5/16 size was too short for my medusa piercing. It was hard to screw on and would pop off a lot. While it was on it was cute, but it's annoying to have to constantly worry about that.

Great for a side sleeper!
This came very quickly and looks very pretty. I wanted it for an upper ear piercing. As I am a side sleeper, regular post earrings dig into the side of my head while I sleep and are very uncomfortable. The only down side of this earring is that the post is thicker than other earrings and hurt quite a bit at first as it really stretched the existing hole. I'd really have liked a high quality earring in real opal that had this configuration. Unfortunately, they don't seem to make fine earrings in this style.
