I ended up disconnecting the stage 4 filter but still I couldn't unscrew it. Finally I found a helpful hint from internet and used a blow dryer to heat the housing cap and was able to unlock it

This wrench is for the membranes, not the filters.

Doesn’t fit my housing. The description clearly states it is for APEC only, but I missed it. I didn’t try it until well past the return period. Looks like a well made wrench.

This wrench is pretty solid and the price is OK but it was too large for all of my membrane filter containers which are Not APEC, brand and I didn't see it stated on the sellers page before buying it so it was my fault but I think all common membrane filter cases should be universal so in my opinion this item can only get 3 stars from me.

I threw away my wrench thinking my hands are good enough but learnt the lesson the hard way. This wrench is amazingly easy to use and perfect for removing and tightening apec filters

Drain the tank first to relieve the pressure then use these. Game changer.

High quality product. The diameter of this wrench's opening is 3" which is not mentioned in the product description. Not all membrane filter housings have a 3" diameter. Some are 2 3/4" and perhaps other sizes. Before ordering be sure to measure the diameter of your membrane filter housing and confirm that the diameter is 3".

Needed this to replace my reverse osmosis filters. Didn’t fit. Recommend buying one that has half open so can fit multiple sizes.
