Keep Feet Cool. Nice Indoor Shoes. Fit Wide Feet
I have wide feet and have a hard time finding shoes that don't feel cramped in the toe area, even with wide widths. It's not because my feet are super wide, I just think quality control is poor and also we all have unique feet. My feet also get hot in a lot of shoes, which I find uncomfortable.I wear these inside with socks. I've never used barefoot shoes before, so I was skeptical. While the toebox material does touch the top of my toes, it doesn't bother me because it's flexible and breathable. Arch support is good--feels like normal shoes. They're a bit tight getting on, because the opening is restricted. I bet if I didn't wear socks, they would be perfect. I normally wear 12 Wide, and these fit with socks on. 12 1/2 might be better. If you don't want to wear socks, you should find your normal size to fit well.

Excellent
I hiked around 22 km today. My feet were hurting a little bit for the first few kilometers. I think the shoes were a little bit small for my feet. I should get size 11 instead of size 10.5. After I walked and hiked 22 KM, I felt good. So I have to give 5 stars. I will buy it again.

Trail Glove vs. Vapor Glove
I liked the Merrill’s Vapor Gloves for the three months I used them; however, after a month or so of use, I’ve confirmed that their Trail Gloves provide me with the support and cushioning I need to avoid injury. Although I have a high arch, the Trail Glove arch support is prominent—if you have flatter arches, I would be wary. After wearing the Vapor Gloves for three months, the Trail Glove’s arch was noticeably present each time I put the shoes on (after several minutes in the shoe, the arch feels normal and I forget about it). I wear an 11.5 and ordered the Trail Gloves in that size, even though some have said that they run large, which may be the case, since I do have plenty of room in front of my big toe, and the arch support seems to make contact with my foot more toward the front of my arch than the middle. Using the innovative lacing system, I’ve discovered that I can dial in a closer fit for the Trail Glove’s uppers vs. the Vapor Glove’s. The section over the big toe on the Trails is less rigid than that on the Vapors; however, I haven’t noticed that it’s made a difference (I also haven’t dropped anything on my foot or stubbed my toe). In the Vapors, I felt every little pebble through the sole, to the point where I would often stumble or react from some sharp pain. For me, the Trail Gloves have the perfect amount of sole cushioning—I can feel the pebbles but it’s never painful. Walking on pavement for too long in the Vapors caused some pain on the outside of my foot, where it makes contact with the ground; walking on pavement with the Trails has not been an issue. The area around the ankle is more substantial on the Trails than on the Vapors. I would have preferred that the Trail Glove had as wide a toe box as the Vapor Glove—my pinky toes seem too close to the outside of the shoe. Other than that, these shoes have been great off road as well as on city streets, and I look forward to continuing to wear them daily.

Will work out great
Haven’t worn them yet but feel that they will work out great for lots of walking. They look really nice too.

Buy the Trail Glove 5 instead
The toe box is so small on this version of the Trail Glove. This shoe has been my go to for a long time, and I love it for how roomy and unconstrained it is. I've always bought the same size, but for some reason this version makes my toes and metatarsals all bunch up, even though there is easily a thumb's width of extra room between the tips of my toes and the front of the shoe.

High quality
Bought for my husband, his back and knee issues are resolving, he wears these to work construction- they help him grip to the metal roofs without the price tag of expensive roofing shoes. He’s mentioned how light they are as well.

Does not breath
I like minimalist shoes and I need shoes that breath well. My favorite shoe was the new balance minimus from a few years ago, but recently they changed the minimus to a training shoe and it’s completely different. My brother has had a few pair of the merrell trail gloves and loved them. So I tried these because I liked the color. They are so hot. I’m not a big guy, and somewhat athletic, but I can barely stand these on a moderately warm day. My feet feel like they are on fire and sweating bullets. If you don’t have issues with sweaty feet, or plan on just using them in cool weather, they are comfortable and have held up really well. I’ve used them quite a bit and they still look brand new, and they have never hurt or anything like that. But they seriously don’t breath

Wish that I could place these on auto-order.
I won't wear anything else but it seems as though Merrell is changing their designs to include more soles. I've been wearing these styles since the first came out and I won't stop. Best natural wear ever.

Great shoes
Love em. They actually have a fair amount of thickness and support in the sole, but you still have a nice connection to the path. I am a 11.5 in all other Merrells. These feel like I should have got an 11.

Erster Eindruck
der Schuh wirkt sehr stabil. Für einen Barfußschuh hat er eine flache und feste Sohle. Die Farbe stimmt nicht ganz überein.
