Better than you think
I was a non believer in these (budget friendly) platforms. Maybe I was brainwashed by the high end audio industrial complex. I was convinced I needed an HRS platform or something of similar quality (and significant cost). The build quality was noticeable as soon as I opened the box, seeming sturdy and of solid construction. I have been using this under a Rega P3 on a Solid Steel rack. The sound difference from the isolation was noticeable immediately. But I decided to give it a few months to really decide there was a quantifiable improvement. I can say it’s done a great job given the relatively low cost, providing good value for the relatively low cost. I would certainly do it again if presented with a similar situation. I am certain the high end stuff would sound better, but at a fraction of the price, this is a great fit in analogue portion of my setup.

Huge improvement
If you have a turntable, adding this will clean up the sound at loud volumes - especially in the lower end of the frequency spectrum. Everything becomes cleaner and more defined and much less muddy. If you don't have an isolation solution already in place you'll be amazed at the difference. I say go for it - I'm very glad I did. Nice product. No complaints.

Very nice quality and looks great. Does it improve the sound? The verdict is still out.
Bought this for my Rega P6 table that is placed (necessarily) very close to my left KEF R7 META speaker. So I figured more isolation wouldn't hurt. The build quality is excellent and it looks great under the table. Did it effect the sound quality? I'm not convinced it does, I haven't noticed a significant improvement, but it certainly didn't hurt anything. I will need to some more A/B testing when I have the time to make a final say. But... for now based on the looks and quality I will give it 4 stars. If later I decide it has improved the sound I will bump it up to 5.

Sound quality saver
I wasn't very positive about how much if any at all that this could change my sound but I'm stunned. I have a small space and cerwin Vega D7s right next to my turntable and I could feel the vibrations and hear how muddy my sound was. Well this fit my fit my thorens 160 perfect and the sound is amazing. Bass is tighter and sounds more clearer in all aspects. Having one of these is a must in a loud sound area for your turntable. 👍

Not to be redundant…..
Yes, I was a skeptic. Yes, I tried to build my own isolation platform. And yes, I wish I would have bought this before wasting time and money. My Rega Planar 3 fits perfectly in the platform. I do wish it was available in different colors but an afternoon with my paint sprayer will solve that problem. The most notable difference with the Zazen is the clarity & bottom-end that showed up. I was happy enough that I bought the mini-pucks for under my components. I’m still reluctant to pay for the Gaia speaker feet for my LaScalas but I can only imagine the difference they would make.

Great product and buying experience.

Waste of money, avoid!
I bought one of these isolation bases for my turntable in hopes it would help with footsteps close to the turntable affecting the sound. The isolation base did not help with this in any capacity, nor did it do a single thing for overall sound quality. Waste of $200, thankfully I could return it back to Amazon!

Poor build quality. There’s serious equipment sitting on top. It should look better
I don’t enjoy bagging on any product, especially when I truly want it to work well and look “top shelf”. IMO the ZaZen misses twice. I’ll start with the finish. It’s a dreadful compromise speckle paint. Ok it’s not anodized for lots of reasons, but if you are going to paint something, do a good job. An extreme example, Steinways are painted, this box looks as if it went a couple rounds with a heat gun. This probably has a lot to do with “slapping” logo badges corner to corner front and back. If this device was magical, I’d give it some badge visibility. Last esthetic item, look at the corner profiles, they don’t match. It’s TIG welded (very good) then ground down by hand, (Only way I know) but imprecise. Function. My observation is, I have the same number of needle jumps as before I installed this device. Maybe slightly less. My gear is on the second floor. Construction is 3/4” real plywood, then a vap barrier, then a pad, lastly Berber wool carpet. I think the concept of the ZaZen product is great. I would pay more for one that belongs under a Thorens class turntable. Mine’s just a starter. If IsoAcoustics fixes the finish and leave one side blank, it’s a screaming deal. Does a knockout job on the finish, raise the price $25 - $50 Mondo product. Think Steinway. Bondo & Laminate? Gives crazy options, laser cutouts, etc. Crazy cost IDK? I’m a 6’4” big dude. Between that, structure, and table needle bounces are reality. Maybe I can’t hang that on ZZ. I built everything in the photo except the Thorens 148a turntable. Perhaps the hairpin legs are the culprit. I love the sound of the 300B drivers. The receiver “valves” are 1958 Bugle Boys D getter. The amp pairs well with the Ortofon Blue Cartridge. I put balanced XLR’s on the amp and built a phone-preamp with XLR input and RCA to the Thorens. The power supply is toroidal. The last audio system one would own is the one you build. “Problém solv-éd”

My A/V Stand is a heavy duty BDI unit with tubular steel and glass shelves. I noticed, the last time I was spinning vinyl, there was something I could only describe as feedback or resonance. Very very minor though. I don't know why but I tapped on the glass shelf with my system powered up for the turntable and the tapping could be heard from my speakers. I already have isopucks supporting all my components so I decided to try out the Iso accoustic zaZen 1 turntable mounting platform. I was worried about cheap construction but was pleasantly surprised when I picked up the box and weighed about 20#. It provides complete isolation. I can pound on the shelf (not hard) and there is no noise at all coming from the system, no record skipping, nothing, just complete isolation. Great product and would strongly recommend for a shelving unit similar to mine. Looks cool too !!!

Top top top. Wer guten Stand für seinen Plattenspieler oder Verstärker braucht sollte hier unbedingt zuschlagen! Sehr gut lackiert in schönem seidenglanz! Trotz Zoll viel günstiger wie der überteuerte High End Spaß made in EU.
