Seeds germinated just fine both ways
I direct sowed a few and did a few with the paper towel method and both ways germinated just fine. I did 4 direct sow and 4 in pots, 6/8 germinated without issue. The remaining 2 did not. Also, they are slow to germinate as it took a few weeks for them to do their thing. Overall I am happy with the purchase.

Planted and got sprout
I had to wait a while before planting these, figured I may have waited to long. I am growing them in a large planter first so I can watch. In only 2 weeks I had sprouts coming up. Not the season to plant but in SC we do not get harsh winters so figured why not give it a try.

Good seeds, very fragile tree
80% germination, very weak trees. Take time and attention to grow these well

40% germination
Using the soak- roll into wet paper-seal in bag method there was only 40% germination with the first 10/25 seeds. The 4 that germinated initially shot up in the indoor containers, although they were pretty leggy. One of those has since died when I moved the container outside and the other 3 aren’t large enough transplant yet. I’m thinking that I may be fortunate if 1/25 actually survives to fruition. The value decreases quickly with such a low germination and survival rate. If one plant makes it, it may be a decent return on investment.
