I had used this drain stopper before and liked it so much I just bought another set. Works great in keeping your shower drain from getting clogged with hair. I was recently using a mesh metal well stopper that I had to rinse and scrub out after every use because the mesh holes would accumulate hair as well as shampoo and soap residue. This residue would clog up the mesh holes and make drainage for the next shower impossible. I never experienced that problem with this drain stopper. It's easy to clean - I just spritz it with Tilex or do a light scrub w/ Comet when I'm cleaning out the rest of the shower. Each drain stopper I had before lasted a few years and I'm expecting the same with these. The only other thing to mention is to make sure the suction cup buttons are pressed down firmly for it to stay in place while water is running.

Despite being too small to actually use the little suction cups to hold this in place in my shower, it still collects an amazing amount of hair each day. I just nudge it in place with my toe if it moves off center. So I can't really rate how well the suction works

I am using this drain protector in a bathtub and it works great. I was getting ready to return the product because it didn't cover my Moen drain pop-up knob (see photo). But then one of the folks answering a question said they cut out the center, so I tried it and it works great (great idea). The product seems to be of high quality and looks nice. Regarding the suction cups, you have to wet the underside first, of course, for suction to properly work. These bumps are small, but they work for us in the tub - our water pressure isn't very high, and we re-wet the suction cups and re-position before anyone with long hair is showering ... it's worth the extra 20 seconds to keep the hair out of the drain.And when we wash hair in a bath and rinse with the hand sprayer, the product excels every time. DON'T put the protector over the drain in the bathtub until you are ready to empty the tub. There's no point, and the draining water keeps the drain protector in place. I haven't tried it in the walk-in shower. I'm thinking the water may cause it to lift up as many commenters claim for this and every other product I reviewed, but I don't know. But unless you have really high water pressure in a tub/shower combo, this might be worth a try. And it's definitely perfect for filtering bath water.

This product really works well in a shower and a bathtub. The design allows the protector to fit over the bathtub drain stopper when it is up and open. It is a flexible plastic. It suctions in place by pressing down on the "bubbles". It allows the water to flow easily into the drain and yet catches hair around it. The only issue is that the clear plastic dis-colors over time to a tan/beige, but the product still works. I use bathroom cleaner or bleach to clean the product. It lasts a long time. I put this protector in all my bathtubs and showers. It was also perfect and easy for tenants' use in rental properties. I have had no clogged plumbing calls since using Stop-A-Clog drain protectors.

These do not suction to my bathtub, but they generally stay over the drain and collect any hair. So they do what they are supposed to do.

Finally!!!!! A drain protector that actually works. I was amazed at the amount of my girlfriends hair that was collected after one week. It's super flexible, so it works in the bathroom sink and the tub. For the sink, I need to have the back half against the vertical wall. It totally stays in place, though. I can even spit toothpaste right on it without clogging it (as long as I spit my rinses in the same spot as well). The bubbles don't completely anchor it so there is a chance you could kick it around in the shower a bit. But, they do a pretty great job. The best part is NO SOAP CLOGS!!! I can go weeks without cleaning it and it won't get clogged (2 people showering once a day). I will keep buying these for the rest of my life. Can't beat the 2 pack price either.

I like this product for keeping hair out of the bathtub drain. Other products allow the hair to slip under the rubber, still entering the drain, but this particular device has great suction so hair is trapped on top even as water can flow through.
