iRobot Roomba 805 Cleaning Vacuum Robot with Dual Virtual Wall Barriers and Bonus Filter

OK, it will miss a little something on some trips around the room but it's surprisingly good at getting the floor clean. What it is great at is cleaning the carpets. Pet fur is difficult to spot on a carpet and requires multiple passes with a vacuum to get it all. The Roomba never gets tired or bored (OK, eventually its battery gets low and it goes to home base but it'll be back at it tomorrow and the next day ...). It's great to see if picking up less and less pet fur off the carpet each day until it's only picking up a little each day because that's all their is.

This is the worst refurbish ever! I was suckered in by the amazing price, what a joke wasn't even worth $50. It was absolutely filthy hadn't even been wiped off. The dust bin had remains of previous cleanings and the filter had not been changed, there was no extra filter as advertised. The battery only lasted about 15-20 minutes before dying. the robot had navigation problems and could not even go over a very flat throw rug. Complete waste of shipping back and forth. I was going to order another one , but after this I cancelled the order. Don't expect much.

We have hardwoods and several dogs and cats and the Roomba does a great job with the floor and getting underneath furniture that is high enough. I stained some small blocks of wood and made a few pieces of furniture higher so the Roomba could clean underneath. I mostly have thin rugs and it does a good job cleaning those without getting tangled up but doesn't clean the dog hair off the thicker rugs very well. I also have 1 really thick rug that it is unable to get on top of to clean it. The Roomba gets stuck between things occasionally and will stop until I relocate it. This happens maybe once out of every 10 runs. mostly this happens between thicker rugs and furniture. I just moved the rug over a few inches to prevent it from happening again. I dump the dirt bin and tap the filter each time it runs but that only take a few seconds. The first few times it ran I had to dump it during and after the run. About once a month, I blow air thru the filter with a can of forced air and I clean around the rollers and wheels. This takes about 5 minutes. i had to put some no skid runner underneath the base because it would get pushed around when the Roomba tried to dock. I like the lithium ion battery that comes with the 805. I feel like it will last years longer. Currently, it runs about 1 hour and 15 minutes before needing to recharge. I have a large house so I have it scheduled to run daily. I have noticed that it does not hit every area every day but over a few days every area gets vacuumed. Overall, I love my Roomba! I have had to make a few adjustments but the advantages far outweigh the few small disadvantages and it saves me time.

Experience from the past few days:- "Error 6. Move Roomba to a new location ...". Roomba 805 does not work on black/white interwoven rug, which occupies a large part of the house.- Cliff sensors don't seem to work. Roomba 805 went off to the adjacent room floor, which has about a 2-inch drop from the current room.- Quite loud. Not as loud as a regular vacuum cleaners, but it's not something you want to run early in the mornings or late at nights.

I bought this cheaper at Costco than it is listed here on Amazon, I was happy with the price but not happy with the performance of the product itself. I’ve had it for about 4 days now and the robot doesn’t seem to know where it has been and where it still needs to go. I thought that it might do some configuration and realize that the house as other corners than the ones that it keeps cleaning over and over. It keeps getting stuck under the dining table chairs and stays there for about 10 mins that’s a total waste of the charging. It got stuck in a corner that it could’ve easily made it’s way out of. I feel even if I pay 200$ for smoothing it should work at least to my expectation. If you have kids and expect each and every corner of your house to be nice and clean at all times this is not the right robot for you. I read reviews before I bought it but it seems my expectations might be too high, so it’s safe to say that this wasn’t for me maybe it will work for someone else’s house.

Same as Roomba 860 but cheaper. It runs in my house every morning on the schedule. It never got stuck. I have a dog, and the bin is always full. I don't know where all this dirt is coming from, but there is a lot of it . I never vacuumed myself after getting Roomba, and my house is cleaner than before now.I have tile throughout, so once a week I also run Scooba 390 to mop. This combo is a must if you don't like to clean the floors.Update Oct 2020: it still runs on original battery. I had to replace the rollers and filter. I also added new "tires". I had to replace the charging station as the original one went bad.

The seller said it was in new condition and very few light scratches at the camera would not pick up however this was well used with white sheetrock dust all the way around the bottom base of it and the rim of it also had lots of long black hair stuck in the rubberized rollers so those had to be replaced would never buy another Roomba again at least used

It is a great help since I am disabled, however I find the receptacle poorly designed so it is difficult to empty. Sometimes it collides really hard into the furniture and walls.
