When a seller say that the “leather “ strap is a genuine cow leather and it is not, one star is too much ! I could buy the same item for much less!

Buy this kit. I bought this a couple of years ago and was doubtful. Well I broke it out today to try it out. I have 12 knives all Gerber high carbon SS. Chefs to pairing knives and all in between..I started with a pairing knife that you could not cut yourself with it after about 5 min it was better than brand new. Effortless in cutting a piece ov note book paper. Went thru a very ripe tomato effortlesslyand paper thin slices. I continue to do all of my knives in under an hour. Actually was 14 knives..this is a must buy and is easy to learn once you try a few. Hard to sharpen fillet and boning knives turned out superb. Curved carving knives and butcher knifes better than knew.. chef knives better than new. All of these knives are 20 years old and never been sharpened on a stone I just use those pill thru sharpeners that damaged most of them. But this set fixed every knife I have. Top end Gerber knives probably worth a few thousand dollars.

One thing worth noting is that these stones need proper soaking and consistent hydration. If they aren’t soaked beforehand or kept wet during use, they do tend to dry out fairly quickly. Once you manage the water correctly, though, they perform extremely well and feel smooth and controlled during sharpening. For the quality, performance, and included accessories, the price point is excellent. This is a very capable system for both beginners and serious hobbyists, and it’s delivered professional-level results for me. Highly recommended for anyone serious about knife maintenance and restoration.

Definitely NOT real leather and instead some cheap plastic :( the stones work great though! Even having no clue what I'm doing, my favorite knife is usable again.
