Mezco Batman vs. Superman One:12 Collective Superman 6.5" Action Figure

Ever since Mafex's Superman for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hit the market, I have been searching for the perfect, or close to perfect incarnation of this Superman. After that one came with it's share of qc problems, I went for the DC Films DC Collectibles one which is good, but not quite perfect. Mattel's was an easy pass for me. Play Arts and Hot Toys were out of my price range. Then this guy came along and most online reviews were mixed, but I decided to pick him up anyway because I wanted to see for myself and I am so glad I did because this figure is phenomenal. The quality and durability of the suit (an issue I was worried about) is amazing, and barely restricts the articulation (obviously you cant rotate certain joints 360 degrees), and the head sculpts are super impressive. Easily the best likeness to Cavill's Superman in this scale. The Cape is the only drawback, as while it's well made, the system to pose it is tedious and at times down right irritating. Without using the system the cape just hangs naturally. He comes with two heads, four sets of hands, a manhole cover that splits in two, and of course his base with the option of foot peg or flight cradle. One cool feature not mentioned often is if you shine a flashlight on the heat vision head for about 20-50 seconds, and turn off all the lights, the eyes glow red for about a minute. The articulation is impressive, and the paint work is clean and well done. Some say he looks too pale, but Cavill is a pale guy. In summary, great suit with great durability. Great sculpt and paint. Phenomenal articulation and accessories. Cape isn't quite up to the same standard as the rest of the figure but still good. I cannot recommend this guy enough. With Justice League coming out soon, I'd grab him while you can.Articulation breakdown:ball jointed head, ball jointed neck, swivel/hinge shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinge elbows, swivel at lower and upper wrist with hinge, ball joint at the mid torso, ball joint at lower torso, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-hinge knees, swivel boots, ball jointed ankles.

It is a work of art! Highly detailed all over, the suit and even the way the body moves, right down to the accessories and the box, it's definitely not a toy. However, the face is not at all close to Henry Cavill and nothing like the "realistic" pictures in the ad. I have had this figure for a while now and have been bugged by the fact that not only does the face look funny (like it was unfinished) but the color is a pale yellow. Do yourself a favor and buy a nicer head on ebay. This is still overall a nice figure and the right size.

Wasn't going to get this based on in hand photos buuuuuuuuut pulled the trigger and said screw it so I bought it and I gotta say Mezco is that company that makes items that are hard to capture in photos. Just like the Batman figure this Superman is fantastic. Love love love it. It honestly makes me want more but at that $80 price point it's the only downside. You got disposable income then by all means I highly recommend it.

This superman was small I expected a bigger one enever the less it was mediocre at best

I am addicted to these Mezco figures, the best figures out till Storm Collectibles make an appearance. Love my Batman figure and definitely love the Superman, fingers cross we get a Wonder Woman.

pricy but love them worth it for a true Action figure collecter

This figure is just amazing. The detail is brilliant. I wasn't sure to get this because of the price but I must say it's the best figure I own and very much worth it in my opinion. Comes in a beautiful collection box If you don't want to take it out. There will be more I will purchase from mezco. If you want a superman this is the one to get. You will be amazed. Comes very close to hot toys, fraction of a price.
