DR Strings Mandolin: 10, 14, 24, 36

Quite simply the best non-coated string available. Rares have the hexagon core(bass) and Sunbeams have the round core(bright). I use Rare 12's on my Martins and Sunbeam 13's on my Gibson Songwriter(top is milled much thicker than a D18 and tough to drive). If they stick in the nut a bit, use a pencil(graphite). You loose so much tone with any coated string it's just not worth it.

Nice tone, play well and last fairly long

Elec guitar, acoustic, bass, mando... They tune-up and are ready to gig faster than any other strings and sound "new" longer. I'm pretty hard on my P Bass * and they put up with it... I just got a 5 string bass, will be ordering DR's. One caveat: Their colored electric guit strings look really cool, but don't sound as good as normal strings. Different. IMO. And they wear out faster. All other DR's-great. Try 'em. ( I do not work for DR...)

tried a few other well known brands but these are the best .bright sound and more sustain than others .they are lower tension than some which makes them easier to play particularly for chords . delivery was next day.
