Combi-Cam 7850R-M Chrome Medium 7/8" Combi-Cam Combinated Cam Lock

The first cam lock I installed on my RV's storage door ate it's own key. :| One of the renovation groups I'm a member of mentioned this combo lock, and it's one of the best purchases I've made for the vehicle yet. It was very easy to install and set the combo, it turns great every time, and it keeps the storage door closed very well. Also, it came in handy when our kiddo who was *supposed* to be asleep in the RV at the campsite (uh-huh) locked herself inside the RV... we just popped open the storage area and retrieved the spare set of keys. So, good product AND sanity saver!

Good instructions, dimensions as advertised. I now have a set of keys locked behind this combination lock so I should not be able to lock myself out. (long story). I have known other RV'ers to replace all of their lock with these to be a bit more secure from the CH751 key issue. I did drop the small square washer as I installed it when I had the lock upside down - and did not realize the shaft comes apart from the combo lock. Found it with a magnet. Whooo, a close one.

I have a stackon gun cabinet with a small ammo/pistol cabinet on top. One of the locks was starting to fail so I decided to try these as replacements as it would eliminate the need for a key. It works. The 7/8" fits the ammo cabinet perfectly. 5/8" would have been better on the gun cabinet, but I got 7/8" to work there with some spacers. The tail piece to turn the latch is also bigger than the original lock so I can to improvise there. It works fine, however the combo is virtually impossible to see. I don't have perfect vision but I don't need glasses. With chrome dials, tiny numbers and chrome surround forget about clarity and forget about getting in quickly.

Installed on my 2016 Forest River Stealth toy hauler. Replaced all 4 outside keys. (This fit the 2 side front doors, need the 5/8 for the rear gas station if you have one.)The outside shower lock did have the room for this key, so I got another lock for it. 7/8 worked with a little modification.Great locks, fit well, easy install and easy to set combo. Will buy again if I need new locks any time soon.

Installed it on the front cargo door of our 5th wheel trailer.

I replaced our storage bay locks on our travel trailer with these. They were very easy to install and work great. The problem I have with them is that the numbers are not easy to see in the dark. The letters are not black or another contrasting color and the light from a flashlight reflects making it very difficult to see the numbers. My suggestion to the manufacturer is to make the numbers black on the chrome locks for a contrast.

These locks are awesome! I installed them on my camper and to remove the need for keys, and keys that were universal to almost every camper ever made, even better. Now I can have a combination for one area the kids always use and not worry about anyone else getting in. One thing that does need stating thou is that when a fingerlift is installed along with the dust caps, the locks are a bit difficult to turn.

Either it was defective, or the company sent me a returned combination lock that someone already set a private combination number. So, I could not open it at the default 0-0-0 to set my own combination. The only way to find out the old combination is to find out who the customer was before me that returned it. I can't believe the company then sent me a returned lock that had another customer's combination set. Also, the numbers are so small even with good vision you'll be struggling to read them.
