Fox Doorbell Ringer - Brass,

We have a number of Red and Grey Fox passing through our property on a regular basis, so it only seemed appropriate that we use this piece for our doorbell.It's a beautiful piece really, very nice quality , and the design is quite unique. It arrives very well packaged, wrapped in tissue paper, then wrapped in bubble wrap, placed in a clear plastic bag which is then placed within a cloth signature bag, then placed in yet another clear plastic bag. All of this packaging is then placed in the heavy duty signature gift box along with the attachment hardware and the actual illuminated doorbell button. From there it is boxed up in your typical shipping container. In short, it's not going to be damaged during shipping.Cons: The doorbell button that came with the unit did not fit the Brass hole that it is designed to fit. I had to enlarge the hole in the brass base fitting just a tad to accept the doorbell without damaging the button itself. Forcing the button through the hole as is would have damaged the button for sure, so I enlarged it just enough to create a snug fit.That said, the craftsman should preinstall the button before shipping to ensure customer satisfaction, and to ensure that no damage is done after the fact. This would go a long way to avoid complaints, leading to Poor Reviews of the product.My only other complaint would be the fact that the Illuminated doorbell button isn't really all that bright. It's suppose to highlight and backlight the product, but the light output is to dim to notice under any conditions other than pure pitch black, can't see your hand in front of your face, absolute darkness. Any exterior illumination of any kind, even moonlight, will overpower and washout the light produced by the LED in the button.Other than that, it's a wonderfully unique piece, and I am very pleased with it! Just tap the fox on the nose and the bell chimes ring.
