Best I have tried yet.
I current own the Westone W20's and was in the market for a bluetooth option, so when this cable come around I had to jump on the opportunity. I have had the cable for a few weeks now and have run it thru my main three scenarios: work (Mac), travel (iPhone 6) and working out (iPhone 6 & iPod).Connection/Bluetooth: Based on some reviews this was my biggest worry about purchasing, I read some people have experienced a lot of interference/dropouts. First on my Mac, connection was always solid and never dropped. Very impressive experience. On my iPhone, it dropped occasionally but not enough to really get upset about since I expected some drops based on previous experience with other bluetooth devices. Working out I used an iTouch just to test and there were a lot more dropouts. So based on the experience between Mac and iDevices, I concluded it really does depend on the hardware/software of the device you are pairing it to. Software has bugs, so based on which version you have loaded it can effect your listen experience, such as this latest article. [...] The rating is: Mac 9/10, iPhone 8/10 and iPod 7/10.Build Quality and Design: Build seems very solid and on par with all Westone products. I do wish the cable was fabric as the Alpha cables, just feels better when you sweat. Design is a bit bulky but I imagine will get better with next gen. The rating is 8.5/10.Sound Quality: Once again I think this comes back to connection quality. Mac and iPhone were equal to cabled, great depth and sound so full but so natural in every way. iTouch delivered ok results, with highs too high and bass that was distorted. Based on the best connections rating is 9/10.Comfort/Fit: I was so surprise by this, they are so comfortable. You can wear them for hours, could hardly feel them. The rating is 9/10.Isolation/Microphonics: This all depends on how you wear them: around back and free - rating is 8/10, around back and tightening to head - rating is 6/10 and dangle in front - rating is 9/10.Battery: Rock solid. I did all my activities with not once running out of battery and that included a trip to London.Cons: One "feature" that drives me nuts and hope this can be changed through a software update is the annoying volume beep. Not only does it beep when you press to change the volume, the beep seems to get louder with every volume press. Westone, please change this or have an option to turn off. Which leads me to me next wish, software updates. I can't seem to find any info about the ability to update the software on these, but sure seems doable through the USB charger cable connection. I am sure it is not for charging alone. Conclusion: I am very happy that I decided to give these a try, its very liberating not being tied to the cable. Are they perfect? No, but they are a great start.

not their best effort...
okay, so i have tested these with my lg g5 and g4 and w20 monitors for several weeks now and feel comfortable that i can write this well. so one thing that was bothering me was people mentioned the noise on these. the noise is a connection white noise that does not affect the sound quality. it just comes on for a sec or two when the devices are connected but nothing is happening...somewhat annoying but doesnt negatively affect the sound while listening to something. i have tested to a distance of 20 feet and still got a connection so the coverage is very good on this but that is more determined by the phone. one thing to note, cold (below 20 degrees) does effect these in that the connection does drop out but the inclination i get is that is bluetooth in general. other than that, I don’t think I have had too many cut-outs.the greatest thing about these is not being tethered at a distance of about 3 feet from my head to my phone. I have used this at the gym, at work and at home and really have had an enjoyable experience. I HATE CORDS!! the sound is just as good wired as far as I can tell as it is with these. I may not have a perfectly keen ear but I have a fairly discerning taste in sound.the positives are…• it is bluetooth so no tethering your head to a phone!• the sound is very good.• the mmcx connector allows you to connect any monitors with that connector (shure, westone) to the bluetooth cord.• the rechargeble battery with an 8 hour life is great as well.• I can listen to this at work and after at the gym and not lose power. with this cord, it does not pull my monitors with the standard ear when I am working out. the swing of the cord eeks them out of my ear at times.• having the led lights flash out feedback as to the status of the cords.• cordless!!!the negatives are…• the cost. at 150, you are getting westone quality but that is a lot. 100 is a good price and would have made it an easy decision for me but…• the white noise is a little annoying but like I said, it does not occur while listening something.• the cord is barely long enough to go over the ears between the connector and the buttons. I am not sure if this was really designed to go over the ears like their other cords but if not, dumb idea! it should go over the ear and sit.• I wish the led lights were on the ends or something so they are more prominent rather than between the buttons.• your body does sometimes affect the connection if you keep your phone in your pants pocket.mine, shortly after I wrote this, the next day in fact, completely failed on me. I would be wary of these…my battery just completely crapped out and it was just over 2 weeks. Because I love the thought of these, I might give them the benefit of the doubt and try them again in the future because having used westones’ customer service, they are top notch but that is not going to be over the next couple of months but keep that in mind.

Short adjustable cable makes these the perfect size for workouts (but not sweat proof!)
Exactly what I needed. Very lightweight. Perfect for running. ~7-8 hour battery life with a ~1 hour low battery warning. Shows battery level on home screen next to iPhone battery level. Great sound quality, IMO. Hard to do A/B testing vs. the wired cable due to the time it takes to swap everything, but it's not noticeably worse based on casual listening using Shure SE846s.Downsides: Bluetooth connection is not very good outdoors and the microphone is not great (at least the way I wear them -- behind my neck). I will also agree with others that the volume beep can be too loud, depending on the how loud your music is mastered. If you have a quiet track that you need to crank the volume on, the beep will be disproportionately loud. Not really a problem when using subscription music services, as they tend to master at 0db. But if you uploaded some older CD's to Google Play, for example, the volume beep is annoying (and you might still not get as much volume as you want). Probably worth level-matching before uploading anyway, so I'm not gonna hold it against this device. All in all, great device. Hope Westone can get their hands on the new W1 chip to improve the bluetooth stability outdoors and increase battery life.UPDATE: After lots of outdoor runs this summer, too much sweat leaked into the control unit and shorted out the button controls. I can no longer recommend them for sweaty workouts. Dropped my rating to 4 stars because they are advertised as water resistant. Still my favorite style of BT cable for my Shures due to the short length, adjustable cable, and decent battery life. Perhaps a little RTV or other sealant at the top of the control unit could prevent the issue.

Very good option for Westone.
I think some of the other reviews are unfair, Buy these for Westone earphones, that's what they are for, don't buy them for another make (like Shure) and then complain, Shure and Westone have a different impedance and sound profile. If you have Shure earphones, buy the Shure Bluetooth cable! The signal on these is not super powerful for a reason: 8 hours battery life! Which is awesome, much better than other makes which are half that. So the Bluetooth doesn't like going through objects, including the human body. Don't put your phone in your back pocket, else may experience a drop out. Use a front pocket and they never drop out (on my iPhone anyway). The sound quality is just like a cable. I use them on the UM Pro 20 and they work really well. Would definately recommend.

Audio quality is fine. Bluetooth disconnect (lag and disconnection on hearing) every 10 seconds when I am working on my galaxy s8.I have not had any problem with other bluetooth headphones except this.

Cuts quality down
Audio quality is poor with my Shure 535, I can hear real differences compared to cable connection. Sounds like 50$ earphones. There is a quiet background noise all the time device connected. Connection is not stable, especially outdoors. Short interruptions 5-6 times in a minute.May be its a good bluetooth cable for earphones of a lower price category, but not for 535. Tested with mac (AptX), iphone 6s (AAC).Refunded.

Let down by signal
Great product however it is let down by the signal quality as I keep suffering drop outs unless I somehow make sure that my device is close to the cable or I carry the device in my hand.

By now I kind of hate them
The good:Battery lifeLightweightAudio qualityThe bad:The material quality is very low, IMO it's hard to not call it _crap_.The on/off button was on the verge of breaking after just a monthThe connectors to the headphones are flaky and by now I would love to just hit it with a sledgehammer, when I again tried carefully touching and moving them a little bit so I might get music in both ears.Once you find the right spot, it's fine. The reception is in fact bad, sometimes you can't even understand how/why it's having issues. They sure prefer office walls and glass doors over a small brick will with an open door. The volume controls work like shit when Android is involved, especially since the latest android.Using the phone you can sometimes press up/down 20 times to no effectUsing the headphones you can sometimes go from nothing to max within 3 stepsThis depends on where the just-before-non-working volume control of Android isThe pause/play/accept button sometimes will pause/play/accept calls. and 5 minutes later it does nothing. or it opens the good voice assistant. It's not entertaining. But that's not the bad part.Mine are stuck and I cannot remove my earplugs (um50...) from them.So no returning to Amazon, and no sledgehammer, as long as they work.Once they finally completely broke, I'll probably saw them apart with some precision instrument and ship them to Westone for replacement. I suppose if I ship them along with 50 tons of concrete they'll notice this is causing irritation.
