Muddy, Mud, Bud (Penguin Young Readers, Level 1)

My kindergarten daughter was able to read this easily and enjoyed it. It is a guided reading level d, but an easy d I think. It has simple phonics for the most part.

Super cute story, pictures, and repetition. Kids love it and love repeating "Muddy Mud Bud!" throughout. I even hear my girls saying it outside anytime they see mud.

My grandson absolutely loves this book! He's 3-1/2 and is already starting to read & this book makes learning to read easier since there's a lot of repetition - - All I have to Say is "Muddy" and he follows up with "Mud, Bud". So many laughs with this book! for 3-1/2 to early reader age!

Level D

This book made my mud-loving granddaughter (2 1/2) as happy as she possibly could be. She became "Bud" and has played (indoors using pillows and blankets as "mud") for hour upon hour. The second she saw this book she broke into a huge smile and said "At last I have a mud book."
