Excellent quality!
I was very impressed by the size and quality of this! My daughter loves quizzing herself with a map or globe and she asked for a large one to hang in her room. This one is large, easy to read, and it’s laminated so it’s strong. She put it on the wall in her room and she and I both love how it looks.

Comprehensive, Informative, Great Map
One of the best purchases I have ever made on Amazon, period. I bought this for my infant daughter and I'm so excited for her to grow up with it. To say the map is comprehensive is an understatement. I have learned more features about this map in the year I have owned it. Here are some highlights: -Borders are different colors/outlines if they are a natural border such as a river or if they were man-made. This applies to international borders and within sovereign territory. -There is a size key for how large cities are, so you can easily tell what the largest cities are. Capitals have a black dot in the middle which is also easy to parse. -The highest point of each country is also included. Would be easy to leave this out but they don't. I'm a geography buff/nerd and this one of the best maps I have ever seen. Just be aware of the size and make sure you have a plan for where it's going to go.

Map too good to not frame
I was looking for a World Map to adorn my work / study room when I came across this one and immediately had plans of framing it. The map in itself is exquisite to say the least with countries marked in large capital and bold font which can be easily read even from a distance without having to squint. Now the framing part... I didn't want to just put it up on the wall without framing, giving my work room a less formal Geography class vibe and scoured the reviews and pictures to see how others have framed it, given its size. I just found 2 existing reviews showing pictures with frames to get an idea as how it would look and loved them. That's how reviews help to make decisions I guess. Also, I wanted a dark frame and retain the white edges of the map so that the contrast adds value to the frame. There were no readymade and inexpensive solution available for this and I had to resort to DIY for this, without having any prior knowledge. Most of the project ingredients were from Home Depot - 1. 4ft x 8 ft, 1/8 in. white hardboard as backing board cut to 81 in. ( a one time free cut made in Home Depot by a kind staff ) Also, I had to rent a mini truck for 45 mins at 20 dollars as there was no way I could fit the board in my Camry. 2. Trim of your choice which is priced per feet. You can choose and cut the required length yourself in Home Depot ( there is a station for it ). 3. The paint of your choice for the trim - a quart is more than sufficient. Its white without the paint ( as the 1st picture ). 4. Brush to paint. It is best to match the brush size with the trim width for maximum efficiency. The trims need minimum 2 coats of paint. 5. A miter box and saw - for a one time / few times project this is sufficient but needs manual sawing to make the 45 degree miter cuts ( 8 to be exact, 2 per side ). 6. I used wood glue for sticking both the map and the trims to the backing board. Make sure to squeeze out the bubbles. 7. Wood putty of the same color as the trim paint to hide the imperfections and cover the gaps on the miter joints. 8. Wood polish for the frames. 9. XL Command Strips - a total of 14 pairs currently have held the map so far ( it was put up ~week back ) without the need of any drilling / L brackets at the base. You need 1 person to help. 10. Ensure to keep time gaps for the painting the gluing steps for them to dry out completely. The total project took me less than 200 dollars on top of the price of the map. Now, I have a framed World Map to look at anytime when I want to decouple from my work and reminisce the work towards framing it, without having previous experience. It will make me happy if this helps others to make their decisions as well and knowing in advance what it takes to frame, before signing up. Thanks

Totally worth the price!
Totally awesome map! Perfect size and well made. It doesn't have lamination in the back but that's ok as the front is what gets touched the most. Great fair price and superbly packaged in cardboard tube to protect it during shipping. Great value and I highly recommend it.
