Have You Ever Seen a Flower?

I bought this book for my friends granddaughter because I have my own copy that was gifted to me and as the New York times said "it's a tour de force"Stunning piece of artwork 👏 that adults and children can enjoy at the same time.

Beautiful. Probably too young for my 3 year-old nephew, perfect for at least 5 years.

This book appeared on a best-of-the-year list and because I live beautifully illustrated children’s books, I bought it. The colors are brilliant and the drawing simple. Both make them excellent for young readers.

This skillfully illustrated IN CRAYON book is a delightful reminder, literally, to stop and smell roses.

It’s a good book. The negative reviews about the blood page are overstated to say the least - it’s just two red pages - and the blood flowers are hardly terrifying. It’s just a book about how life is in us and all around us.

Great story and beautiful art. I tie this into our reading of “The Little Prince.”

Absolutely beautiful illustrations! A kids book I wouldn't feel bad about sitting out on a coffee table when company comes over.

The beautiful pictures don't make up for a story that is just not interesting. The story is both too deep ("have you ever pricked your finger... and seen that brilliant color of your life?") and too shallow (have you ever BEEN a flower?) My 4 year old did not like this book, and neither did I.
