This Book is Fantastic
I'm very pleased with this book. I am 57 yo and am learning programming for fun. I have been working through this book and I came upon a Udemy class for Python. The class didn't explain how to get going in Python if you are on a Mac very well. I was going to have to quit the class when I remembered this book. It walked me through my dilemma step by step and got me up an running in no time. The first part of the book that walks you through programming with Scratch is super fun and I would think kids would really enjoy that...I know I did! This is a really good book for introducing beginners to programming/coding. I like this book line so well I bought some more of their books--one on Math and I might get their anatomy book too. An excellent resource, well written and colorful.

My 10 year old loved it
I bought this for my 10 year old son who wanted to learn some programming. I was sooooo pleased with this book. Very easy to follow. Lots of pictures and graphics. And it's nice that it covers two different languages (Scratch and Python). The first is a great for teaching kids the basic principles (and works on any computer with access to the web... PC, Mac, Linux, whatever) and the second is great for once the young programmer gets a bit older and wants to learn something more challenging and "real world".
