My Second WANGYUANJI Wok (Yes, I’m Obsessed!)
Okay, so this is literally my second WANGYUANJI wok—I loved my first one so much I bought another for my vacation home. Let me tell you why this thing rules. First off, it’s a kitchen beast. The nitrided carbon steel means zero sketchy chemicals (bye, flaky non-stick pans!), and it’s indestructible. I’ve abused my first wok with metal spatulas, seared steak like a maniac, and even let my kid “help” stir-fry—still no scratches. Plus, it heats up crazy fast. Like, “oops, forgot to prep veggies” fast. Perfect for my impatient hungry self.The flat bottom works on my induction stove (no wobbling!), and the detachable handle makes storage a breeze. Also, shoutout to the glass lid—I use it to steam dumplings or trap saucy goodness while my noodles simmer. And yeah, it’s HUGE. My first wok feeds my family of five plus leftovers; this 14.2” beauty handled a friend’s BBQ stir-fry chaos like a champ. Pro tip: Season it (takes 10 mins!) and hand-wash only. Amazing wok!
The media could not be loaded. I have been looking for a real wok for quite some years, even Asian markets only have a limited amount of selection and couldn't find a good one, I have tried another one off Amazon and was not impressed, eventually I even ponied up and bought a hexclad wok, it's pretty good, but still missing that sizzle factor and the wok hei factor. When I heard the sizzle I was ecstatic! I seen the size of this wok and the handle which is actually perfect for Chinese cooking. I seasoned it according to their instructions and tried frying an egg to begin with, wow I completely forgot how hot and fast a wok can fry an egg. If you have never used an authentic wok before it's an adjustment from what you are used to, I would recommend adding a bit more oil and lower the heat a bit if you are not familiar with using a wok. I braised spare ribs with potatoes and carrots and even though my hexclad could do the same, I just thoroughly enjoyed using this wok, especially since it has a long handle and when scooping the food out I can also easily lift it up and pour the remainder of the cooked food into a plate. Next I stir fried some vegetables and I got the sizzle I was looking for! I also made gravy after I stir fried the veggies to pour it over the veggies, the wok literally did it in seconds! Cleaning is easy with a metal scrubber. It's also deep enough for steaming, I'll be trying to steam some spare ribs and fish with this Soon. This also comes beautifully packaged, the way it was packaged was like a new laptop. If you want to cook Asian food, and want that sizzle and wok hei, here it is!

good pan
This frying pan is the perfect size and of excellent quality, with beautiful packaging. However, it’s a bit heavy. It seems better suited for gas stoves rather than electric ones, as the base isn’t very wide, making it difficult for electric stoves to heat evenly. That said, this is not an issue with the pan itself.More info: the pan is a little bit heavy

Durable and Reliable Wok – Just Needs Proper Care
I've been using this wok for two years, and overall, it has been great. The only minor drawbacks are that the lid is not 100% perfectly sealed and the handle is riveted instead of welded.The main reason I chose this wok was that traditional round-bottomed Chinese iron woks didn’t have enough capacity for my needs.One important thing to note is that this wok does not have a non-stick coating, so proper seasoning and maintenance are essential for the best cooking experience.这个铁锅我已经用了两年,总体表现很好。唯一的小缺点是锅盖不是 100% 严丝合缝,锅把是铆接的而不是焊接的。我选择这个锅的主要原因是传统的纯圆底中式铁锅容量不够,不能满足我的需求。需要注意的是,这款锅没有不粘涂层,所以养锅和日常维护是必不可少的,这样才能保证良好的烹饪体验。

A well made wok at a reasonable price
Growing up I probably spent more time in my family’s Chinese restaurants than I did at home. Since then I’ve gone through several home woks but none of them had the quality of the commercial woks nor did they stand up to everyday use for very long.When I received the Wang Yuan Ji the first thing that I noticed was how well it was packaged. The package included the wok, a glass lid, a wooden handle, a scrubbing brush, a towel and instructions printed in Chinese and English. The wok and lid were both packed in their own individual bags. I was pleasantly surprised by the weight and wall thickness of the wok. It was similar to the commercial woks I’ve used in the past. The material and workmanship is very good. The wooden handle was easy to install and fit well for a solid feel. The wok features a spout on the right side which makes pouring easier and less messy. The glass lid features wooden knob a vent hole.After proper seasoning of the wok it was time to use it. The wok heated evenly and did not stick (even when cooking eggs). The wok will require re-seasoning and a little coating of oil from time to time to maintain the non-stick coating but so did the commercial woks. If you properly season it and follow the instructions this wok should give you years of use.I am very happy with this product and will be using it almost everyday.

The packaging was excellent, keeping the pan, lid, and all the parts secure and well-protected.The pan itself is well-made with a comfortable handle. It feels sturdy without being too heavy.The wok is made of strong carbon steel, which heats up quickly and cooks food evenly. Its flat bottom sits securely on the stove, making it perfect for preparing family meals. Overall, it’s a fantastic value, offering quality at a price much lower than similar Lodge cast iron pans.
