This Kindle cable worked fine - it charged faster than some cheaper cables at the drug store, and the length is much better than the usual shorter cables. The only thing that bothered us was the stiffness of the cord and how it would kink when it was twisted and it's not easy to coil when it's twisted. It feels like a heavy duty cable, so I hope that all of the twisting won't affect it very much. It's better if this is used straight and not coiled.

See my previous review....I had HIGH HOPES. When first purchased, was impressed with stuffiness of cord, but most important was that tongue got snuggly into charging groove and STAYED THERE. Well less than 2 months later, I'm sitting in a chair, kindle placed flat on desk, I'm not searching or reading and the charging cord FALLS OUT. I don't understand why this is a consistent problem with kindles. Charging cords on laptop and cell phones don't fall out. This is my 5th kindle, the second time I've purchased a non-Amazon cord but the problem persists. It is absolutely inexcusable. If kindle designers can't remedy, maybe they need to incorporate one of those little tabs you push in on the plug, which when released locks the cord. This one being returned for refund. The search continues. Have two stars because cord was sturdy and length as advertised. Almost unfair as problem is with device, not cord.

I just received my new charging cable a few days ago but so far I am thrilled with it. I ordered the 10 ft length and I cannot tell u what a pleasure it is to lie in bed read and charge at the same time. The original cable that came with my Fire was maybe 18 in so if the Fire needed charging I was basically hunkered in one spot. This give me the option to move around. I also love the material the cord is made of. It looks like stainless steel and goes with any cover you may have for your Kindle. I would definitely recommend buying this cable.

Wonderful!! I can charge my Fire Tablet while using at a comfortable length away from the wall electric outlet. The only problem is that long cord takes up room while not being used. A retractable cord or built in clip would be nice. But for $10...it is great!

I have received this USB cable for my Kindle Fire HDX just a few days ago, but it is already clear to me that it is superior to the original cable. My original cable could not withstand over time the flexing which occurred with it's use and the interior wiring finally broke after several years. I think that the nylon outer shell of this replacement will prevent that. Fingers crossed. In addition, this replacement cable is much longer than the original which allows much more flexibility in using it.

Perfect for my son with his kindle fire. Can have it looped under couch cushion and sit in his end table in our living room. That way he doesn't have to get behind the couch to grab it. Very happy.

Do not buy this brand in any length if your purpose is to charge a Kindle Fire. The connection rocks and comes completely out with just a tiny bit of movement because it doesn't create a tight fit. It IS well constructed if you want to try it with other electronics.

My original Kindle charging cord became loose at the end that is meant to go into the Kindle itself, and I had rigged rubber bands to keep it attached to the Kindle. When I received this yesterday, I wasn't sure if it would fit, based off of reviews on here.Luckily, it fits like a glove and the length of the cord is nice. I have a Kindle Fire (that I bought in August 2015), and have had no issues.
