Simian Insulated 40oz Water Bottle Travel Flask for Hot or Cold Drinks (Green)

Bought two more as gifts since this purchase. Material seems slightly thinner than a similar product that I own, so that's why I didn't rate it at 5 stars. But, it's a nice product if you are careful with it and for the price. And, it keeps drinks cold for many hours even in 88 degree heat with humidity. It's steel so expect it to dent if you drop it from a distance.

Great water bottle, especially for the price! Haven’t had any problems with leaking and it’s been dropped, daily! My 6th grade son carries it to school and keeps his water ice cold throughout the day and for football and wrestling practice. Ice lasts all day most days. Just depends on whether he adds more water to it or not. Does not sweat. Have not tried any hot liquids yet.

I really enjoyed this flask for the month it kept its insulation. One morning, before heading out for the day, I filled the bottle with cold water from the refrigerator as I had done many times before. About an hour later at work I picked it up to take a drink and I noticed the bottle was very cold to the touch. The water inside was barely cool, when it should have been just as cold as when I put it in there. The bottle had not been damaged in any way so it must have been due to a factory defect that it was no longer insulating.I emailed Carlton Global inquiring about Simian's factory warranty. I got an immediate response from Elaine telling me not to worry, they would be sending a replacement bottle. Great! That was back in November and the replacement has yet to arrive, even after several emails back-and-forth in which they told me it had been sent out via regular mail, which doesn't provide tracking information.I do not recommend the Simian brand nor will I buy any other products from Carlton Global.

The hydro flask that I owned had dropped one too many times and finally broke. I didn't want to spend another $50 on a hydro flask so I went with the Simian and I have not been disappointed. The ice stays in my flask all day and there is no condensation on the outside of my flask either. The best part is the flask was only $20. A totally reasonable price.

It's a solid bottle and kept my water cold, however my cap broke after the bottle fell from a 3 feet height (bottom of a chair) so now it leaks.

So on performance alone, I would give this a 5 star rating. My biggest problem is durability. About a week after I got it, I dropped it about 3-4' onto a tile floor and the bottom deformed to the point that it couldn't sit flat anymore. Within a month, the strap that holds the lid had visible cracking. Now, after about 4 months of use, the strap is completely severed. I haven't abused this thing. I usually just take it to work so I can keep ice water at my desk without risk of condensation getting my papers all wet. It still keeps water cold for a long time, but it looks like crap after only 4 months.

I have had this product for a few weeks now and have found it very useful. One word of caution is that if you are planning to take this with you on a trip it will not fit into your vehicle console due to it's large size. :) Does what it says it will do and keeps thing hot or cold.
