Tarot V

I LOVE this deck!
I have a love/hate relationship with Lo Scarabeo—I love the uniqueness of their decks and the artwork is usually stunning…but then it’s wasted on cheap card stock which is a dealbreaker for me. I wish all of his decks were as well-made as the Tarot V—not only are the images vivid, creative and stunning, they are printed on much better card stock than his usual mass-produced decks (pro tip: LoS special edition cards—like the Joker deck I just bought on Kickstarter—are especially well-made). I also love some of the recognizable characters, such as Vlad the Impaler, Genghis Kahn, Joan of Arc, and, most of all, this Sagittarian was thrilled to see Christopher Lee as King of Wands.I also love that the four suits are listed as bloodlines, eg Wands are Bloodline of Vitality, Cups as Bloodline of Passion, Swords are Bloodline of War and Pentacles are Bloodline of Riches, which makes it seem more like separate clans rather than suits. The Court cards, too, are unique in that the Pages aren’t vampires, but rather Vampire Hunters, the Knights are Vampire Warriors, Queens are of Mistresses of the Night and Kings are Lords of Darkness. I feel that details like this are what make good decks great. The only drawbacks are that this is definitely not a beginner deck as some of the images stray far from RWS, Marseilles and Thoth, though most of the interpretations are more or less the same…I think. Another small gripe I have with LoS decks are the instructions. Overall, they’re okay, but now and then, they’re puzzling and seem very very different from classical interpretations…though that may have to do with translation. And at least the instructions come in a booklet and not those annoying little white paper things that are too brief and difficult to read. And I’m very pleased that Tarot V comes in a sturdy, beautiful two-part box.And if anybody at LoS is reading this (right…lol), here is my plea: please please please stop printing your artist’s gorgeous designs on flimsy card stock. Both artists and consumers deserve better. I realize that might be a big ask for mass-produced cards, but there are plenty of collectors who would be happy to pay more for better quality decks like Tarot V. Or maybe offer more special editions for serious collectors at a higher price along with cheaper versions for those who aren’t concerned with details. Meanwhile, as somebody who tends to buy more indie decks because of their quality, I can vouch that Tarot V is on par with much more expensive decks and is one of the best they’ve produced. Absolutely thrilled with this deck!

Amazing Relevant Art
This is a deck I sat on for a really long time before purchasing because I thought it might be great art but not great as a Tarot deck as so many are. I went ahead and purchased it while it was on a really great sale, and I was very pleasantly surprised that the pictures have so much meaning that apply to the particular Tarot arcana. I was also quite pleased that it is not a pip deck, in fact often the particular suit object doesn't even appear anywhere on the cards except the little symbol next to the number on the bottom of the card. For someone that is just getting started in Tarot, especially without a background in occult symbolism, this probably isn't the best deck however. The card stock seems alright. Not great, not terrible. The cards came all stuck together from the trimming process, which I hate, but not so badly that I think they will have any trouble after separating and shuffling through a few uses. The box and book is rather nice compared to a lot of decks from this publisher, but they are still not incredible. There is more in the guide than a few keywords per card, but it's not a lengthy page or two like some decks.Overall I'm incredibly happy with this purchase, and think it would have even been worth it at the standard price.

Incredible deck!
Quick notes:-Card stock seems a bit thin at first, but it is very sturdy. A bit stiff to riffle shuffle, but I managed. No chipping or bending after a dozen+ shuffles-Art is exceptionally high quality print-Very glossy cards; they were stuck together at first. Be gentle peeling/sliding them apart. Back of cards are very glossy smooth; front has a slight bit of texture-Comes in a very thick cardboard box, perfect for storage-Does not always follow RWS imagery, and thus I wouldn’t recommend it as a beginner deck-The little white book it comes with is small- the same size as the cards- but beautifully written with amazingly detailed descriptions and interpretations. Book seems well made, just smallThis deck is gorgeous, and it’s little book adds so much to each card. The descriptions give a bit of lore/flavor text, a divination interpretation, a Shadow Work suggestion, and keywords. The book also has 1 tarot spread, and a couple pages of suggestions for Shadow Work. Very well thought out presentation. The borderless artwork is stunning. A couple cards have non-sexual almost-nudity. There’s blood, of course, and mild body horror but nothing gorey. Delighted to see a few romantic-inclined cards had same-sex couples.Cards only have numbers and icons. Due to this fact, and the imagery sometimes doesn’t follow RWS, I wouldn’t rec this deck to a brand new beginner to tarot.Cannot recommend this deck enough, otherwise. Perfect for Shadow Work. Well worth the price! I will be edging this deck in black ink, I think that’s the only thing that could be improved upon. A++, 15/10, would give this 10 stars if possible

Damaged but great deck
Unfortunately it seems as of late anything I order comes completely damaged. Other then a thin bubble mailer there is nothing protecting the product. The box is ruined, the deck inside is fine. It’s a glossy card stock, decent thickness too. It will need some edging since it’s a matte white and doesn’t fit the deck style. Overall a great deck but if you collect decks it’s nice to have the packaging look nice as well. And it definitely isn’t.

SPECTACULAR deck!!!
Waited for this release - worth the wait. Gorgeous imagery designed for the intuitive reader. No typical Rider Waite imagery, which I love - kicked those training wheels off long ago. Includes translations for the shadow reader also. The book helps, but if you've been reading for awhile and developed you own meanings for the cards, not needed but the descriptions are cool. My new favorite deck!

Incrível.
The media could not be loaded. Perfeito para quem gosta de mexer com as energias mais densas, o oculto e o lado sombra das questões.Me conectei profundamente com as cartas e fiz leituras certeiras e incríveis.Quanto as cartas o único aspecto que geralmente me incomoda é o reflexo que bate no papel que é utilizado.Recomendo.

Very Beautiful Deck!
The deck is beautiful. The booklet is very informative. The outside box was a little damaged and crushed on one side. So definitely won't be keeping as a collector's item.
