Nice, good quality gate. You do have to pay attention when fitting as it is possible to get the top and bottom out of alignment. This is not a fault with the gate (as some people have put in their reviews). We actually bought two of these to help contain our dogs. If these gates can successfully contain our very cheeky and quite determined hounds then kids will not be a problem. They are also used a lot and have not sown any wear. Very pleased

Adjustment screws do not mount into the unit, they just slide into loose holes in the sides (so when you're putting it in a doorway, they slide right back out). Latch is out of line unless tightened so extremely in the doorway it will damage the wood. Latch is cheaply-constructed and does not release easily, difficult to operate one-handed while carrying something (like a child!) Not at all satisfied. Would not re-purchase this item. Would not recommend.

This is certainly good for its intended purpose, having a ‘swing back’ gate so that it closes itself after passing through it. However my door isn’t a standard size and I found it quite fiddly to get it installed with sufficient tension.

Was perfect when he was 1 but he is strong and already figured out he needs to pinch to open, once he develops that skill this gate will no longer be suitable

Fits really well, does the trick. Only thing I would say is the instructions are a little tricky since they include instructions for all the gates they do and they're not well worded. Luckily it's pretty self explanatory to put together.

Sub standard - info on website for support is incorrect for opening hours. Item - weld broken. Very dissatisfied

Got given one of these stairgates by a friend and liked it so much we brought another one for else where in the house. When you initially open the box the gate looks like its broken as you are unable to shut in place but it needs to be pushed/ tightened together when in doorframe etc as it's a pressure fix gate.

Arrived with damaged packaging, item looked like it may be also , only reason for 4 stars. As for the gate it is a god send. Used to keep the dog out of the bedroom. Money well spend

Latch quite hard to squeeze and open, which although a safety feature seems a little too hard for an adult to open. Overall producr quality good and fits well in doorway.

These stair gates are great. Fit well,are very sturdy and easy to open. We have tried another make in the past but found it too clunky to open.now we have 2 of these and it works perfectly.would definitely recommend

We have two of these now, they're very sturdy and don't wiggle, the latch mechanism works well, and they've so far defeated our two-year-old's escape attempts. I will buy this again if we need more gates.
