We have lots of scratching surfaces - mats on the floor, on the wall, poles and ramps on the cat trees/condos, a carpet-covered thing that leans on the wall. The cat likes the ones on the trees/condos or with the built-in toys best. It's not because the toys are so fascinating, it's because she immediately recognizes it's a safe surface to scratch on. The ones without the toys, we have to train her to use. Since she knows she's not supposed to scratch on the carpet or the couch, she waits for a safe signal (dream cat, I know!). The "Meowtopia Cat Scratcher - Unique Ramp & Lounge for Feline Scratching & Playing" has been awesome also from the different angles aspect. We placed it next to a bench that she sits on to look out the window so she scratches on it from the floor on the way up and from the bench on the way down. She doesn't scratch inside or go through the hole nearly as much, but it's good for playing with her. The photo is after 2 months and it's starting to show the wear, with cardboard pieces starting to flake off daily so we'll probably need to replace it within another month, which is kinda spendy at $30+ a pop. But she's still using it, just scratching more around the edges. Definitely recommend placing it against/near a sturdy object or wall. When it was free standing, we tipped it over pretty often.

My cat absolutely love this cat scratcher. I put in the living room by the sofa. And she stopped scratching sofa, she is more interested in her own scratcher. It worked!I put the scratcher upward, she can scratch front and back both side after her nap. For playtime, she will try to get the ball (with a bell) out, being funny, silly and scratch her nails same time. When I lay scratcher flat, she will lay on the top or thru the tunnel with her butt hanging out and look out the window.It is very good quality scratcher, my cat enjoy it and I recommend to buy worth it. Long it doesn’t get wet it will last long time.

My cats love this thing but it falls over a lot.

I bought this one for my cat. My cat loves it, especially the ball keeps him busy. He goes through it everyday. This one has a nice modern look and it fits well in my home. My cat loves the shape of this item. The most important thing is that it drives my cat away from scratching my other furnitures!!!

Ordered this cat scratcher on Friday and got it delivered on Sunday already. Absolutely love its minimalistic design. The scratcher is in solid quality, and it’s designed with a tunnel on the body and a toy ball for cat to play with. The scratcher also came with a pack of catnip. My cat loves it so far. Great product.

I have to say, this is my favorite cat scratcher so far. My cat usually gets bored with them and goes back to scratching furniture within a few days, but this keeps him interested so he deliberately goes to it instead of my leather couch :)

My cat loved this. My only issue is that once he used it there were shreds of cardboard everywhere! I would not buy again.
